The show kicked off with the new NXT Champion Joe Hendry thanking the fans for always believing in him. Before long.Hendry would be interrupted by all three members of The Vanity Project, who wasted no time in admitting it was them who attacked Hendry before the championship ladder match. After Joe agreed to face Jackson Drake in a championship match later in the evening, The Vanity Project stuck and left the champion laying once again.

Match One:

Jaida Parker Versus ‘The Glamour’ Blake Monroe Ended In A Double Count Out

Miss Parker wasted no time and ran right at the woman who disrespected her, forcing the Glamour to retreat. The two rivals had a very hard hitting exchange in which both women simply threw hands, trying everything they could to punish the other. Just as things were getting out of control on the outside, the official had no choice but to count both competitors out.

This very unsatisfying ending angered Jaida, who proceeded to attack Monroe and any NXT official who got in front of her. Monroe was fortunate enough to escape within the audience, but this escalating situation is far from over.

Backstage, Chase U members Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon continued to fall out with Connors stating that he does not owe Mr. Chase anything as all Chase did was “hold him back”. The duo’s disagreement was interrupted by Lexis King, Stacks and Arianna Grace, who again tried to relate to Connors as a fellow second generation superstar. Uriah stated that even though he always wanted to separate himself from his famous father, he was going to ask his advice and get back to them.

Match Two

NXT Speed Championship Tournament Match:

Eli Knight Defeated Josh Briggs Via Pinfall

Despite Brigg’s power and size advantage, Knight was able to endure and land a superkick, running knee and picture perfect moonsault combination to advance to the finals of the Speed Championship Tournament. Knight will face LeFleur next week and the winner will challenge the champion Jasper Troy in two weeks.

After the match, Knight and LeFleur respectfully shook hands. This sign of sportsmanship would be stopped by Jasper Troy who laid waste to both potential challengers.

Backstage, interim GM Mr. Stone was checking on the injured Lola Vice, informing the new AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion that if the doctor does not clear her he has to push the match between her and Kelani Jordan back. After an official ran in requesting Stone and the doctor to follow him, Jordan attacked Vice, once again targeting her hand. After the attack, it was revealed that Keanu Carver attacked several members of the NXT roster and destroyed much of the backstage area as he was upset he was not given a championship opportunity.

In the ring, NXT Tag Team Champions Dark State came out to proclaim Dion Lennox’s championship aspirations, address Tony D’Angelo’s threatening words and threaten The Culling for attacking them two weeks ago. The champions were interrupted by The Culling, OTM and Hank and Tank, with all teams promising to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions. Feeling disrespected, Dark State attacked Hank and Tank before OTM joined the fight. This multi man brawl left Lennox and Cutler James alone in the ring and vulnerable to D’Angelo, who ran in and left them laying.

Backstage, Mr. Stone made a triple threat tag team match between Hank and Tank, OTM and The Culling, in which the winners will receive a tag team championship Match against Dark State in two weeks. Mr. Stone went on to talk to North American Champion Ethan Page, who reminded the new GM that ‘All Ego’ needs one more victory to break the record of most championship defences and inserted that he wanted to face a new challenger. Mr. Stone gave the champ what he was asking for and made a title match between Page and Shiloh Hill next week.

Match Three

NXT Championship Match:

Joe Hendry (Champion) Defeated Jackson Drake (With The Vanity Project) Via Pinfall

The moment the bell sounded, Drake went after the champion, hitting him with a swanton bomb for a nearfall. Hendry rebounded and overpowered his challenger, sending Drake crashing into the mat and then throwing him all around the ring. As Hendry was starting to get the better of Jackson, the wiley newcomer threw him out of the ring allowing The Vanity Project the opportunity to send Joe into the solid steel ring stairs. This plan backfired as the official threw them out, making this match a true one on one contest. After a very action packed match, Joe Hendry hit Jackson with a massive powerbomb and his ‘Standing Ovation’ chokeslam to retain his championship.

After the match, Joe was attacked by Ricky Saints who dropped him with a tornado DDT.

Backstage, Cutler James told the rest of Dark State that he will solve the group’s “D’Angelo problem” next week.

Match Four

Tag Team Match:

The Vanity Project Defeated Hank and Tank Via Pinfall

Hank and Tank isolated Baylor from his partner in the beginning of this match, often overpowering the arrogant young man. The Vanity Project’s tag team continuity helped them gain some momentum and out maneuver their larger opponents. Right as it seemed the former champions had this match won, OTM and The Culling came out to continue their fight from earlier in the evening. The other men arguing caused a distraction that allowed Smokes to kick Tank in the head, sending him into Baylor who rolled him up for the victory.

Backstage, Sean Legacy challenged the man who put him through a wall last week and attacked him tonight; Keanu Carver.

Backstage, as a result of their victory Mr. Stone added The Vanity Project to the number one contendership tag match; making it a fatal four way. Stone then went on to tell Myles Borne to “do something out of character” to gain Ethan Page’s attention in hopes of receiving a championship match in the future.

Match Five

Tag Team Match Where The Woman Who Picks Up The Victory For Her Team Will Become Number One Contender For The NXT Women’s Championship:

Zaruca (Sol Ruca and Zaria) Defeated The WrenQCC (Wren Sinclair and Kendal Gray) Via Pinfall

New Number One Contender: Sol Ruca

Sol Ruca and Kendal had a very fast paced and technical exchange, with neither woman gaining much of an advantage. Communication consistently broke down between Zaruca, causing the two “friends” to argue and tag themselves in. On the other side, throughout this match the Wren QCC worked selflessly, helping each other out and seemingly wanted to win the match with no concern of which member would receive the future championship match. The ending was very chaotic as Grey superkicked Zaria into her partner and the referee counted their collision as a tag. Zaria dropped Wren with her F6 but was not the legal participant so there was no pinfall. As Zaria was instinctively going for the pin, Sol landed her ‘Sol Snatcher’ on Grey to pick up the win and become the new number one contender.

After the match, Sol offered her hand to her friend but Zaria rejected the embrace. As the “friends” were working out their emotions, Fatal Influence came out and taunted them.
