The show kicked off with wrestling legend Shawn Michaels asking Mr Stone to be the new interim GM for NXT.
Match One
Triple Threat Match For The Women’s North American Championship:
Izzi Dame (Champion) Defeated Lola Vice and Thea Hail Via Pinfall
The champion began this match by overpowering and bullying her challengers; a strategy Dame would go back to throughout the contest. Vice and Hail traded submission attempts with neither woman being able to lock in a hold. Vice punished both of her opponents with precise kicks, demonstrating her impressive MMA ability. After Lola was thrown out of the ring, her rival Kelani Jordan attacked her out of nowhere. Jordan targeted Lola’s hand by smashing it with a ladder, trying to ensure Vice would not be able to use her well known signature backhand to knock out anyone again. Just as Thea was about to lock in an armbar, Dame powered out and planted her with a powerbomb to retain her championship.
Backstage, Chase U got into a verbal confrontation with Lexis King and Stacks in which both teams agreed to face each other.
Tony D’Angelo came out and promised to punish Darkstate for taking “everything away from him”. The former ‘Don’ said he has a second goal, but would not reveal what it was until he is finished with Darkstate.
Match Two
NXT Speed Championship Number One Contendership Tournament Match:
Elio LeFleur Defeated Charlie Dempsey Via Pinfall
After a very fast paced evenly matched contest, ‘The French Luchador’ hit Dempsey with a very innovative corkscrew ‘Ruff Ryder’ esque maneuver to advance in the tournament.
Match Three
TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship Match:
The Elegance Brand (Champions Heather and M By Elegance With Ash By Elegance) Defeated Zaruca (Zaria and Sol Ruca) Via Pinfall
The Elegance Brand took advantage of their challengers miscommunication and took control of the early moments of this match. After tagging herself in, the powerhouse Zaria threw the champions around the ring, gaining a near fall. The uber athletic Sol returned the favor, tagged herself in and ran threw both champions. Just as Zaruca got on the same page after performing synchronized spears, Sol accidentally hit Zaria with a ‘Sol Snatcher’. This unfortunate miscalculation allowed The Elegance Brand to double team Zaria with M landing a double stomp to retain their championships.
NXT aired a video from earlier in the evening in which Blake Monroe attacked Jaida Parker while she was talking to the fans.
Match Four
Tag Team Match:
Lexis King and Stacks Defeated Chase U Via Pinfall
Early on King tried to get in Conner’s head, trying to get the Chase U student to join them; this would happen consistently throughout the tag team contest. This distraction allowed Stacks to overpower Dixon and earn a near fall. The larger Dixon eventually fought back, using his size advantage to run though both of his opponents. In the end, King would club Dixon in the back of the head and drop him with ‘The Coronation’ to win the match.
After the match, Conners turned his back on his fallen partner to leave with Lexis and Stacks.
In the ring, it seemed like the NXT Women’s Champion Jacey Jayne was going to challenge Sol Ruca, but she would be interrupted by Zaria, Kendal Grey, Wren Sinclair and Sol Ruca. Interim GM Stone made a tag match between Zaruca and the WrenQCC for next week, adding the interesting stipulation that whoever picks up the victory for their team will face Jayne for the championship in three weeks.
Backstage, Lexis King, Stacks, Arianna Grace and now Urijah Conners approached Charlie Dempsey, once again trying to recruit their fellow second generational star.
It was announced that Jaida Parker will face Blake Monroe next week.
Match Five
7 Man Ladder Match For The Vacated NXT Championship
Joe Hendry Defeated Ricky Saints, Dion Lennox, Jackson Drake, Shiloh Hill, Keanu Carver and Sean Legacy
Carver immediately attacked anyone in his way before Hill gave him a back body drop onto a steel ladder. Legacy would take out Lennox with a beautiful ladder assisted ‘Sliced Bread Number 2’. In the most unusual moment of the match, Shiloh would use two ladders as stilts to walk the distance of the ring and punch Drake and Legacy in the face before being dropped with a ‘Heart Attack’ from Carver and Dion. Saints came mere moments away from grabbing the title, but made the mistake of posing instead of pulling down the belt. This arrogant mistake allowed Joe Hendry to climb up the other side of the ladder, knock Saints off the ladder and become the prestigious new NXT CHAMPION!
