‘The Rarebird’ Chris Phoenix

In mythology, the phoenix represents immortality through crashing, rising back up and being reborn stronger than before. This mindset has stuck with Chris since he was a young wrestling fan with a dream and has made him the courageous competitor we see today. Risking everything may not seem like the wisest way to win a match, but it shows what he is willing to do to overcome whatever is put in front of him. The ‘Rarebird’ fights for all of the fans who fuel him to get back up no matter how many times he is knocked down or counted out.

Chris Phoenix’s Story:

Phoenix grew up in a low-income family household where he loved to watch wrestling. He spent a lot of his time searching for and studying every form of the sport that he possibly could. This passion led him to find his favorite style of wrestling; lucha libre. The daredevil approach to competition combined with a larger than life presentation spoke to the young fan, who idolized legends like Vampiro, Rey Mysterio and Konan. Now a wrestler himself, he hopes to inspire others the way his heros had him by competing all over the tri-state area often for championship gold. Even though Phoenix is best known as 1/2 of the very popular and successful tag team ‘Cease and Desist’ (alongside his partner and trainer The ‘Hype Man’ Dan Lasers) Chris wants to leave a complete legacy which would also include becoming a singles champion. The goal of trying to reach the next level and never being quite satisfied with where he is currently ensures this Phoenix will continue to rise.

You can see Chris Phoenix at West Virginia Wrestling Federation, Mon Valley Pro Wrestling and Crown Sports Entertainment, just to name a few places.
