1/27/26

The show was supposed to begin with a qualifying match to determine who will compete in the ladder match next week for the vacated NXT Championship; unfortunately as Joe Hendry’s iconic music played it would be revealed he was attacked backstage. NXT GM Ava found him laid out next to The Vanity Project, who despite being right there, holding a steel chair and Jackson Drake being Hendry’s opponent, claimed innocence.

Match One

NXT Tag Team Championship Match:

Dark State (Champions, Osiris Griffin and Saquan Shugars) Defeated OTM (Lucien Price and Bronco Lima) Via Pinfall

Price and Griffin tried to overpower the other, eventually both members of OTM were in the ring and gained control of the match, forcing the champions to regroup. Dark State used their numbers advantage to confuse their challengers, effectively preventing them from being able to focus. During a very chaotic sequence, Vanity Project distracted Price allowing Shugars to roll him up and retain the championships.

After the match, OTM, The Vanity Project, Hank and Tank and Chase U got into a massive brawl. Right as Dark State were holding the ring, The Culling attacked them and left the champions laying.

A video from last week played, showing Nikkita Lyons offering to face Jaida Parker “so Blake Monroe doesn’t have to”, setting up the match between Lyons and Parker tonight.

Match Two:

Jaida Parker Defeated Nikkita Lyons Via Pinfall

The beginning moments of the match were fairly even as both women were unable to gain much of an advantage over the other. Lyon’s rocked Miss Parker with a massive roundhouse kick to the head, which she followed up with clubbing right hands and a ‘Pearl River Plunge’. The two powerhouses exchanged forearms, with Jaida getting the better of the exchange. Miss Parker eventually ran through Nikkita with a shoulder tackle, spinebuster, ‘hipnotic’ and finally the ‘Deja Vu’ to pick up the hard earned victory.

After the match, a video of Blake Monroe played in which The Glamour promised to see Miss Parker very soon.

A video from the TNA Knockout’s Tag Team Champions The Elegance Brand played. The champions addressed their upcoming match with Sol Ruca and Zaria, trying to further the growing divide between Zaruca and promising to keep the titles “forever”.

Backstage, Zaria was shown not being able to reach the noticeably absent Ruca. Eventually she and Thea Hail fell out with Zaria promising to see Hail later. The two would battle later in the evening.

Backstage, Ava informed Jackson Drake that since Joe Hendry was not cleared Jackson will get a pass into the ladder match. While Drake was celebrating, Ava told him if Hendry is cleared next week, Joe will be added into the match.

Match Three

Qualifying Match For The NXT Championship Ladder Match:

Dion Lennox Defeated Myles Borne Via Pinfall

The uber aggressive Lennox proved to be a very difficult challenge for Borne, consistently countering and overpowering any offense Myles tried to implement. Myles seemed to be unable to maintain momentum, prompting North American Champion Ethan Page to come out and encourage him to increase the intensity. Page’s advice was taken and proved to be valuable as Borne took control of the match. After Dion raked Myles’ eyes, Page slid his championship to Myles but was caught by the referee. This momentary confusion allowed Dion to hit a massive powerslam and advance into the ladder match.

After the match, Myles laid out Ethan with his own championship title.

Backstage, it would be revealed that Ava bailed Tony D’Angelo out of jail. Tony promised to let everyone know his true intentions are later, prompting Ava to warn him not to interfere in the ladder match next week.

Match Four:

Lexis King Defeated Tavion Heights Via Pinfall

Heights tried to repeat his fast victory from their previous encounter, dropping King for a very near fall moments after the bell sounded. King rebounded and ruthlessly attacked Heights, sending him out of the ring and then into the steel ring steps. After a very competitive contest, King hit Heights with ‘The Coronation’ to pick up the win.

Match Five:

Thea Hail Defeated Zaria Via Pinfall

Despite their obvious size disparity, Thea did a good job of side stepping and disorienting the larger Zaria; eventually landing a suicide dive on the outside. For much of the match, Hail tried to lock in her signature armbar to the recently weakened arm/ shoulder of Zaria only to be thrown off by the powerhouse. This singular strategy would be detrimental for Hail as Zaria caught her and sent her crashing into the mat. In the middle of the match, Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame got into a fight. This scuffle allowed Hail to roll up Zaria for the unexpected victory.

After the match Fatal Influence came out, but when Thea offered to team up with Zaria to take them on, Zaria dropped Thea with an F6 so powerful Fatal Influence retreated.

Backstage. Arianna Grace and Lexis King tried to recruit Charlie Dempsey, calling him “One Of Us”.

Match Six

Qualifying Match For The NXT Championship Ladder Match:

Keanu Carver Defeated Andre Chase Via Pinfall

Chase tried to charge at the debuting Carver, but would be quickly overpowered and sent crashing to the outside. Keanu proceeded to rip off Andre’s protective face mask and send him face first into the apron. Chase did everything he could to cut his opponent down, kicking him in the leg and thigh and eventually planting him with a tornado DDT.  After the two traded blows on the outside, Carver would plant Chase with a running powerslam to advance into the ladder match.

After the match Keanu attacked Chase, sending him face first into the exposed turnbuckle and stomping his face on the steel ring steps.

The show ended with all the participants of the NXT Championship ladder match telling one another that they were going to win next week. Unsurprisingly a massive brawl broke out, with Ricky holding the ring.  As soon as Saints was going to grab the title, a weakened Joe Hendry returned, dropped Saints only to be hit with Carver’s Powerslam.
