CM Punk is set to challenge NXT Champion Grayson Waller for the championship on the November 4 edition of WWE NXT on The CW, following a confrontation that came immediately after Waller’s chaotic victory over Tony D’Angelo at Halloween Havoc on October 31 in Orlando, Florida.
Punk issued a video message challenging Waller, taking aim at the champion’s repeated claims that NXT is “his house.” The challenge sets up a high-profile title match as Punk continues to make his presence felt across WWE programming.
The November 4 broadcast is shaping up to be a major night for NXT, with John Cena and Cody Rhodes also advertised for the show. Kelani Jordan is scheduled to defend her women’s championship, adding another significant contest to the lineup.
WWE also announced that NXT TLC will return on December 12 in Orlando, Florida. The event will bring the Tables, Ladders & Chairs match concept back to the NXT brand for the first time in several years, adding another major date to the brand’s schedule.
