WWE star Charlotte Flair has shared an emotional tribute following the passing of young WWE fan Scarlett Guillen.
Flair had grown close with Scarlett and her family during Scarlett’s battle with a rare form of brain cancer. Their bond was documented in a short feature on WWE’s YouTube channel, which followed Scarlett’s journey and showed the connection she built with Flair as the two spent time together during her illness.
In a heartfelt message, Flair thanked Scarlett for the impact she had on her life.
“Thank you for the light you brought into my life,” Flair wrote.
Flair said she first learned about Scarlett when MJ texted her about a young fan who wanted to meet her. She noted that, at a time when she was struggling herself, Scarlett gave her something far greater than she could have given in return.
“You gave me perspective,” Flair wrote. “You taught me courage, gratitude, joy, and how precious every single moment truly is. Those lessons will stay with me for the rest of my life.”
Flair also addressed Scarlett’s parents, Kim and Isiah, praising the love and strength they showed throughout Scarlett’s fight.
“Watching the way you loved Scarlett through the hardest chapter imaginable has forever changed me,” Flair wrote, adding that even during the darkest days, they made sure Scarlett had reasons to smile and moments filled with laughter, hope, and unconditional love.
Flair also sent a message to Scarlett’s sister, Ellena, telling her that Scarlett will always remain a part of who she is.
“From one big sister to another, you will carry Scarlett with you forever,” Flair wrote. “She will always be a part of who you are, and I know you’ll honor her in everything you do.”
Flair closed by telling the family that they are now part of her life forever, writing, “You’re family now… you’re stuck with me.”
