The show kicked off with NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo attacking one of his potential challengers who attacked him last week; Tavion Heights.

Match One:

Kali Armstrong Defeated Jaida Parker Via Pinfall

The two brash trash talkers struggled to gain momentum over the other, each trying to claim their spot in NXT. Miss Parker (high) stepped up the offense and hit Kali with a forearm that sent her out of the ring before sending her face first into the ring apron. Armstrong fired back with a massive springboard cross body and straight jabs to the face. After a very hard hitting contest, Kalie raked Parker’s eyes, hit her with a powerslam and landed her signature ‘Kali Connection’ pounce to pick up the victory.

Match Two:

Jackson Drake (With The Vanity Project) Defeated ‘The Monster’ Jasper Troy Via Pinfall

The overly confident Drake immediately charged at Troy, but was quickly overpowered, thrown around the ring and slammed to the mat repeatedly. After Troy ran through The NXT Tag Team Champions on the outside, he was body slammed by Drake’s romantic interest Myka Lockwood allowing Jackson the opportunity to land a 450 splash on The Monster and pick up the unexpected win.

The cold hearted Zaria came out to make her Women’s North American Championship intentions very clear. Zaria’s speech was interrupted by a woman who had similar friendship struggles with drastically different outcomes, champion Tatum Paxley, newcomer Lizzie Rain and Nikkita Lyons. Naturally a fight broke out, ending with Zaria dropping Paxley with an F5.

Backstage, ‘Supernova 11’ Noam Dar returned to NXT and challenged Jackson Drake to a match next week.

Backstage, Tony D’Angelo was attacked by Kam Hendrix on his way to the ring.

Match Three

Mixed Tag Team Match:

The Culling (Izzi Dame and Niko Vance) Defeated Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana  (AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions) Via Pinfall

Vance overpowered the unorthodox Iguana early on in the match, before Iguana used La Yesca to earn a near fall. Recent rivals Vice and Dame squared off with both women landing some hard hitting offense; potentially previewing an exciting future championship match. In the end,  Vance took out Iguana with a power bomb on the outside of the ring, which distracted his partner long enough for Dame to hit the NXT Women’s Champion with a running knee to gain the victory for her team.

Backstage, NXT GM Mr. Stone informed Zaria that next week she will team up with Nikkita Lyons to take on Tatum Paxley and Lizzie Rain. Given everything she has been through, being placed in a tag team match infrared Zaria.

Match Four

Tag Team Match:

Darkstate (Cutler James and Osiris Griffin With Dion Lennox and Saquon Shugars) Defeated Hank and Tank Via Pinfall

Before long, Lennox and Shugars once again argued on the outside, forcing their teammates to focus on them. This distraction gave Hank and Tank the opening needed to take control of the match, eventually sending Griffin crashing into the announce table. Annoyed with the bickering, Darkstate took their frustrations out on their opponents, double teaming the former tag team champions and eventually sending Hank crashing with an assisted tilt-a-whirl slam to pick up the much needed win.

Match Five:

Tony D’Angelo (NXT Champion) Defeated Tavion Heights Via Pinfall

Heights utilized his amateur wrestling background to take control of the champion, eventually planting Tony with a gutwrench powerbomb. Tony fired up and threw Heights around with three consecutive German suplexes. In the middle of the match, Hendrix tried to get involved but would be taken out by Myles Borne. This distraction allowed D’Angelo to hit ‘Dead To Rights’ and win the match.

After the match, while D’Angelo was helping Heights up, both men were laid out by the massive Mason Rook.
