MJF is heading to New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s biggest stage of the year, as he has challenged Ryohei Oiwa to a match at Wrestle Kingdom 21 on January 4.

The confrontation took place following Power Struggle, where Oiwa teamed with Hartley Jackson to defeat The Swirl. Oiwa secured the victory by submitting Lee Johnson, but the celebration was interrupted by a video message from MJF.

In his latest verbal attack on New Japan Pro-Wrestling, MJF took aim at the Japanese wrestling scene, referring to Japan as a “third world country” and declaring that AEW is where the best wrestle, while New Japan is where the best “leave.”

MJF then offered to defend his Triple B at Wrestle Kingdom 21 against Oiwa, expressing confidence that he could defeat the New Japan star using nothing more than a simple side headlock takeover.

Oiwa responded by accepting the challenge inside the ring, making it clear that he would not tolerate MJF disrespecting New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
