TNA Wrestling delivered another eventful edition of iMPACT! on July 23, 2026, featuring the locker room vote to determine Mustafa Ali’s next challenger for the TNA International Championship, continued action in the Knockouts Television Championship Tournament, a cinematic Righteous Deletion match, and a successful TNA World Championship defense by Nic Nemeth. The night also saw growing tension between Mustafa Ali and Jason Hotch after the locker room selected Hotch as Ali’s next challenger.
- Frankie Kazarian & AJ Francis defeated Elijah & Moose. Expressions shook the ropes to trip Elijah, allowing AJ Francis to hit a powerslam behind the referee’s back for the victory. After the match, Expressions removed his neck brace and attempted to hit Elijah with his own guitar before Moose stopped him. Elijah then blasted Expressions with the Highwayman’s Farewell.
Backstage, Order 4, Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch, John Skyler, Tasha Steelz, Special Agent Zero and Mila Moore—oversaw the locker room vote to determine the next No. 1 contender for the TNA International Championship. Every member of the locker room was allowed one vote and could not vote for themselves.
- Wendy Choo and Elayna Black fought to a 10-minute time-limit draw in the TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament. The draw awarded M by Elegance a bye into the tournament semifinals. After the match, Xia Brookside attacked Elayna Black. Wendy Choo nearly chased Brookside to the back before returning to check on Elayna, but Brookside attacked Wendy from behind. Once Brookside left, Wendy and Elayna shook hands in a show of respect.
Backstage, the locker room continued casting votes while Order 4 watched. John Skyler nearly opened the ballot box before Mustafa Ali stopped him. After everyone left the room, Mila Moore told Skyler he was doing a great job.
The System, Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Brian Myers, Bear Bronson and Cedric Alexander—made their way to the ring. Alisha said everyone loves the newest star until reality sets in. Bronson boasted about destroying Ricky Sosa the previous week, calling him nothing more than a catchy song and a meme. Myers declared The System the gatekeepers of TNA Wrestling, while Cedric Alexander said anyone looking for success has to go through them because “the champ is right here.” Eddie Edwards called The System TNA’s quality control and predicted Alisha Edwards would defeat Jada Stone to bring more gold to the group.
Ricky Sosa interrupted, saying Bronson only beat him because Brian Myers interfered. Eddie replied that Sosa turned down The System’s protection. Leon Slater then joined Sosa, accusing The System of always needing to scheme to win. Slater challenged members of The System to wrestle immediately since everyone was already in gear. Eddie declined, saying he would speak with Daria Rae about making the match for next week. Slater responded that no matter where the match happens, The System would go out with a “bang, bang.”
Daria Rae then announced that Jason Hotch had been voted the No. 1 contender for the TNA International Championship. Mustafa Ali immediately had Hotch stop Rae and tell her the announcement was only a rib.
The Bioflex Injury Report stated that Elayna Black remains under evaluation following Xia Brookside’s attack but is not expected to miss any ring time. Moose is also being evaluated for a rib injury but is likewise expected to return quickly. Nic Nemeth was humorously listed as being in “incredible, perfect condition.”
- The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) defeated The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch) in the Righteous Deletion. After the cinematic victory, Matt and Jeff Hardy cleansed The Righteous in the Lake of Reincarnation before Matt declared it the beginning of a new chapter for The Hardys.
Backstage, Leon Slater confronted Jason Hotch and questioned whether he was really going to continue listening to Mustafa Ali after the entire locker room voted for him. Slater told Hotch he was standing in his own way before walking off. Hotch then approached management’s office but received a long-awaited phone call before knocking.
- Jada Stone defeated Alisha Edwards with a jackknife pin to advance in the TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament. After the match, Alisha attacked Stone until Jada fought back, forcing Eddie Edwards to intervene and pull Alisha away.
Backstage, Mustafa Ali confronted Jason Hotch for disobeying his command. Hotch revealed he had spoken with his wife, who reminded him of everything he had endured under Ali and that he had a family to support. Hotch ended the conversation by telling Ali that he would see him next week.
- Nic Nemeth defeated KC Navarro to retain the TNA World Championship in the night’s main event.
