Match One

Evolve Championship Match:

Aaron Rourke (Champion) Defeated ‘Mr. England’ Tristan Angels Via Pinfall

The arrogant self-proclaimed ‘Mr. NXT’ tried to overpower the champion by backing him into a corner, but would be slapped across the face for his efforts. As Angels was gaining some momentum, the lights ominously flickered and the bizarre laugh of Shiloh Hill echoed through the arena, which angered him so badly he became very aggressive and took control of the Evolve Champion. After being drugged under the ring, Angels would be hit with the ‘Molly Go Round’ which allowed Rourke to pick up the victory and remain Evolve Champion.

Backstage in the parking lot, the NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo was with GM Stone trying to find his challenger at The Great American Bashso they could finalize their matches contract. Eventually Naraku appeared and handed Tony a folder he thought contained the important paperwork, but when D’Angelo opened it a massive fireball flew out and hit him right in the face. Tony was so badly injured, he would have to be loaded into an ambulance and taken to a local medical facility.

In the ring, former Darkstate teammates Dion Lennox and Saquons Shugars had a face to face meeting to talk about their very personal match this Sunday at The Great American Bash. The two addressed their vast differences and everything that caused Shugars to be kicked out of the group.

Match Two

Tag Team Match:

Hank Walker and Tank Ledger (With Matt Mathews) Defeated Birthright (Stacks and Uriah Connors With Birthright) Via Pinfall

The “Belly Boys” showed a lot of tag team cohesion in the early moments of the match, overpowering their opponents with chops and slams earning a few two counts. Birthright rebounded and implemented some very creative fast paced tandem offense when Connors Stunned Hank which allowed Stacks to drop an elbow on him from the top rope for an extremely close near fall. After all four men beat on each other in a massive fist fight, Hank and Tank squashed Birthright with all their mass before Hank dropped Stacks with a ‘Boss Man Slam’ to pick up the victory for his team.

Backstage, Shiloh Hill showed a more serious and intense side when he challenged Tristan Angels to a match this Sunday at The Great American Bash.

Backstage, Lola Vice and Kendal Grey signed the contract for their championship match  this Sunday at The Great American Bash. The two shared some words but kept things fairly professional as there was no physicality.

Match Three:

EK Prosper Defeated Keanu Carver Via Pinfall

Unsurprisingly, once the bell rang the very aggressive Carver gripped up Prosper and slammed him to the mat, proceeding to violently throw him across the ring. EK showed his heart and agility by evading the big man’s clutches and delivering dropkicks, legdrops or strikes whenever the opportunity presented itself. In a very shocking moment, after Carver knocked down Prosper with a huge pounce, EK managed to roll up the big man and win the match.

After the match, Keanu snapped and attacked EK, powerbombing him through the announce table.

Match Four

NXT Women’s Speed Championship Number One Contenders Match:

Arianna Grace (With Birthright) Defeated Izzi Dame (With The Culling) Via Pinfall

In the last minute of this fairly competitive match, Shawn Spears tried to give Izzi some encouragement and practically demanded a high five from her. Spears did not accomplish whatever it was he was trying to do as the distraction allowed Grace to roll up Dame and become the new number one contender for the Women’s Speed Championship. Grace will take on the Speed Champion Wren Sinclair this Sunday at The Great American Bash.

Match Five

Tag Team Match:

Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy Defeated The Culling (Shawn Spears and Niko Vance With Izzi Dame) Via Pinfall

Spears kicked off this match for his team, trying to make up for his recent mishaps, but would be fairly ineffective in this entertaining tag match. Both teams’ big men, Vance and Van Dux, collided and the two hosses battered one another with Dorian getting the better of the exchange. Spears’ night got significantly worse when he was pinned after being hit with Sliced Bread Number Two, a 450 splash and a Shooting Star Press, costing The Culling another match.

After the match, Vance choke slammed Shawn Spears through the announce table as Izzi Dame just watched annoyed.

The show ended with GM Stone trying to update everyone on the status of the championship match this Sunday. Stone was interrupted by Naraku, Mason Rook and Jackson Drake who all demanded a championship opportunity. After Rook took out The Vanity Project, a highly bandaged Tony D’Angelo returned to get some revenge and prove to the NXT Universe that he, despite being burned, will defend his title in five days at The Great American Bash.
