Memphis Wrestling expands training to Pontotoc, Mississippi

Memphis, TN (May 2026) — Memphis Wrestling is proud to announce the expansion of its professional wrestling and sports entertainment training program with a new location in Pontotoc, Mississippi, bringing opportunities to aspiring talent throughout the Tupelo and North Mississippi region.

The new training ring will operate inside The Slaughterhouse Gym, located at 414 Highway 6 W., Pontotoc, MS 38863, expanding the Memphis Wrestling training system beyond its home base at the Memphis Wrestling WrestleCenter in Memphis, Tennessee.

Memphis Wrestling is now officially enrolling students at two locations:

Memphis Wrestling WrestleCenter

Memphis, TN 38116

Training: Mondays & Wednesdays | 6–8 p.m.

Pontotoc Training Ring at Slaughterhouse Gym

414 Highway 6 W.

Pontotoc, MS 38863

Training: Tuesdays & Thursdays | 6–8 p.m.

In addition to training professional wrestlers, Memphis Wrestling also provides instruction and guidance for referees, ring announcers, broadcasters, managers, production personnel, and more.

Nick Maxwell, owner of Slaughterhouse Gym, and Big John Dalton, who will serve as Pontotoc coach, both trained at the Memphis Wrestling WrestleCenter before becoming Memphis Wrestling television stars. The students will now have the same opportunity.

“Memphis Wrestling has always been about creating opportunities,” said Memphis Wrestling owner Dustin Starr. WrestleCenter Captain King Cobra followed up with, “We’ve built something special at the WrestleCenter in Memphis, and we’re excited to bring those same opportunities to North Mississippi.”

Enrollment is now open. Participants must be 18 years or older, or have parental authorization. Private training sessions are also available upon request.
