All Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that the NWA Championship will be defended at the promotion’s June 18 event at Korakuen Hall, setting the stage for the prestigious title to be showcased in front of one of Japan’s most passionate wrestling crowds.
While an official challenger has yet to be confirmed, the announcement strongly suggests that current NWA Champion Thrillbilly Silas Mason will be making the trip overseas to defend the championship under the All Japan Pro Wrestling banner.
The appearance marks another major international spotlight for the NWA Championship and continues the growing relationship between the National Wrestling Alliance and the legendary Japanese promotion. Korakuen Hall has long been regarded as one of the most historic venues in professional wrestling, making the title defense a notable opportunity for Mason and the NWA brand alike.
