Match One:
Je’Von Evans Defeated Jasper Troy Via Pinfall
The monstrous Troy wasted no time showing his strength and savage nature by going right after the injured ribs of Evans, a strategy he would implement the entire contest. ‘The Young OG’ Je’Von continued to endure the onslaught and would counter with his fast paced aerial offense and eventually resorting to throwing hands, often catching the big man off guard. Right as it looked like Troy was moments away from ending the match after hitting a massive ‘Black Hole Slam’, Je’Von reversed the momentum and managed to pick up the victory with a roll up in this classic matchup of speed vs strength.
Match Two
NXT Women’s North American Championship Match:
Sol Ruca (Champion With Zaria) Defeated Izzi Dame (With The Culling and Tatum Paxley) Via Pinfall
Right after the bell rang, Paxley slapped Zaria, providing Dame with the chance to earn an early advantage by landing a sitdown powerbomb for a near fall. In the early part of the match, Izzi punished Ruca, targeting her midsection and simply throwing her around or slamming her to the mat for a few near falls. The NXT fans cheered on the resilient Sol who fought back with innovative maneuvers including a beautiful x factor from the top rope. In the final moments of the match, Ruca paid homage to her tag partner and hit Dame with a spear, showing off her strength. Before the official could make the count, Paxley placed her “BFF’s” foot on the rope saving the match. The powerful Zaria neutralized Tatum with her signature spear, clearing the way for Sol to hit the ‘Sol Snatcher’ to retain her championship.
Match Three
Falls Count Anywhere Match For The NXT North American Championship:
‘All Ego’ Ethan Page (Champion) Defeated ‘The Revolution’ Ricky Saints Via Pinfall
Saints did not wait for the match to begin and immediately attacked his longtime rival with right hands and even a kendo stick. Things quickly spilled to the outside and the two eventually ended up fighting in the building’s concourse, where Page would be sent through a merchandise table. Back in the ringside area, the merciless Ethan wrapped a steel chair around Ricky’s neck and sent him facefirst into the ringpost, trying to reinjure his damaged larynx. The two once again left the ring, this time taking their battle to the backstage area. While they were brutalizing one another with whatever they could get their hands on, Jasper Troy ‘Black Hole Slammed’ Saints onto a box-like structure. In the end, Page would send Saints crashing off the stage with the ‘Ego’s Edge’ to retain the North American Championship.
In the ring, NXT GM Ava announced she will be supervising the contract signing for the triple threat match for the TNA Heavyweight Championship at the Slammiversary PLE event taking next week. Mike Santana, Joe Hendry and champion Trick Willams each made impassioned speeches about what the championship means to them. Unsurprisingly, tensions boiled over when Hendry and Santana put Williams through a table. While the two TNA superstars were sharing a moment of mutual respect, the outlaw group known as Dark State came out and decimated both men.
Match Four
NXT Championship Match:
‘The Ruler’ Oba Femi Defeated (Champion) Yoshiki Inamura (With Josh Briggs)
The match began with the two brutes trying to overpower the other, where each demonstrated their strength. Inamura sent direct statements to the champion when he immediately got back to his feet after being sent crashing to the mat and threw Femi across the ring. The Ruler implemented a methodical strategy and began targeting his challenger’s midsection, showing he has more in his arsenal than power. During the hard hitting action, the official would be inadvertently struck, allowing Josh Briggs to hit Oba with the NXT Championship belt. Inamura did not want to win without honor and the two exchanged strikes in the center of the ring. In the end, Oba would hit his ‘Fall From Grace’ pop up powerbomb to pick up the very hard earned victory.
Backstage, Ava made a six-man tag with Trick Williams, Mike Santana and Joe Hendry teaming up to take on Dark State.
Backstage, Oba Femi was being interviewed about his match. Yoshiki joined to apologize for his partner’s interference. As The Ruler was saying he forgave him and would give Inamura another championship opportunity in the future, Briggs stormed in and shoved the champion. The two men had to be separated while Josh was yelling he would take care of this on Tuesday.
Match Five
Tag Team Match
‘The Juggernaut’ Jordynne Grace and ‘The Glamour’ Blake Monroe Defeated Fatal Influence (NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jane and Fallon Henley With Jazmyn Nyx) Via Pinfall
Grace and Henley began things for their teams with Jordynne overwhelming a very competent Fallon. Fatal Influence used their numbers advantage to isolate and beat down the debuting Monroe. Once in the match Grace showed her strength when she slammed both opponents simultaneously, but would soon be swarmed by ‘The Goddesses of Hostility’ as well. Things became a little more balanced with Grace and Monroe working well as a team, utilizing some tandem offence strong enough to earn some near falls. As Jazymyn Nyx was interfering again, she would be stopped and sent to the back by TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich; the woman who will face the NXT Women’s champion at Slammiversary. During a chaotic scene, Jane would be struck by Grace sending her into a Monroe who would drop ‘The Rockstar’ a DDT, pinning the champion.
