The AIWF has taken to social media to announce that AIWF National Champion Ty Tyson has vacated the title.

Ty Tyson Vacates AIWF National Heavyweight Championship

January 17th Mount Airy, NC — AIWF Wrestling announces with mixed emotions that Ty Tyson has officially vacated the AIWF National Heavyweight Championship after the parties were unable to come to contractual terms at this time.

Ty Tyson has been an exceptional competitor and a former World Champion whose presence, passion, and in-ring excellence helped elevate the prestige of the AIWF National Heavyweight Title. While this is not the outcome AIWF Wrestling—or our fans—had hoped for, we respect Ty’s decision and sincerely wish him nothing but continued success in all future endeavors, both inside and outside of the ring.

With the AIWF National Heavyweight Championship now vacant, there is a sense of disappointment in closing this chapter—but also a growing excitement for what lies ahead. AIWF Wrestling will be holding a special board meeting tomorrow morning to determine the official course of action in crowning the next champion and beginning a new era for this historic title.

As we look forward, we invite the global AIWF community to be part of this moment.
What talent from our worldwide network of AIWF-affiliated promotions deserves the opportunity to step up and claim the AIWF National Heavyweight Championship? This is a rare chance for a new name to rise, make history, and carry the legacy forward.

Further announcements will be made soon.
