The show kicked off with many male members of the NXT locker room surrounding the ring while GM Ava was addressing the vacated championship. Before Ava could announce her decision, Ricky Saints interrupted and demanded to be handed the title. Ava brushed off the audacious request and informed everyone that on February 3rd there will be a six man ladder match for the championship. Qualifying matches for the ladder match will begin next week. After the announcement, a massive brawl broke out with Keanu Carver holding the ring.
Match One:
Lola Vice Defeated Kelani Jordan Via Pinfall
Jordan wasted no time and attacked Vice before the bell rang, drop-kicking Lola before she even made it into the ring. Once the match began, things broke down into a hard hitting fight in which both women brutalized one another. After exchanging pinfall attempts, Vice used her MMA background and locked in an armbar almost forcing ‘The Standout’ to submit. Kelani increased the violence, slapping her opponent and sending her into the announce table. Jordan continued her less than sportsman like tactics and rolled up Vice while holding Lola’s tights. Fortunately, the official saw it and stopped counting. While Jordan was arguing, Lola hit her spinning backfist and picked up a very hard earned victory.
Match Two
NXT Speed Championship Match:
‘The Monster’ Jasper Troy (Champion) Defeated Tavion Heights Via Pinfall
Despite giving the champion the most competitive match of his reign, Heights would be picked up and sent crashing into the canvas with a ‘Black Hole Slam’allowing Troy to retain his championship.
After the match Lexis King attacked Heights, dropping Tavion with ‘The Coronation’.
Backstage, Ava was informing the teams of Fatal Influence, Zaruca (Sol Ruca and Zaria) and the Wren QCC (Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey) that next week they will be competing in a triple threat tag team match where the winners will get to face the TNA Knock Out’s Tag Team Champions.
Backstage, Ava told NXT North American Champion Ethan Page that he will be defending his championship against Elio LeFleur next week.
Blake Monroe was in the ring to address her actions from last week. The Glamour was interrupted by the returning Jaida Parker. As the NXT fans were chanting for Jaida, Miss Parker proceeded to beat down Monroe, who was thrown flying out of the ring.
Match Three
TNA International Championship Match:
Stacks (Champion, With Arianna Grace) Defeated Shiloh Hill Via Pinfall
The larger Hill tried to catch the champion off guard, but the more experienced Stacks reversed the momentum and tried to neutralize Shiloh by chopping the big man down. As the match went on, Shiloh rebounded and used his strength advantage to throw Stacks around the ring and earn a few near falls. The ending of the match was very chaotic’ when Shiloh had Stacks rolled up Grace interfered again to reverse the momentum which allowed her boyfriend to retain his championship.
NXT Women’s North American Champion Izzi Dame came out to celebrate her newly won championship. Before Izzi was finished talking, an enraged and uncontrollable Tatum Paxley attacked her former best friend. Due to striking an official, Paxley would be kicked out of the building.
Backstage, the newly signed duo known as The Vanity Project told the world they will be facing Chase U next week.
Match Four
No Disqualification Match:
Joe Hendry (With OTM) Defeated Dion Lennox (With Dark State) Via Pinfall
The two fairly equally built superstars tried to gain an early advantage by trying to overpower the other, with neither being able to. Eventually, Hendry would take advantage of the matches’ rules and send Dion shoulder first into a well placed steel chair before striking with brass knuckles. Dion rebounded and struck Joe repeatedly across the back with a kendo stick. Both teams would get involved and save their respective partners from losing the match. This caused all five men to engage in a massive brawl out of the ringside area. Eventually, Dion speared Joe through a table but would be unable to pick up the victory as Tony D’Angelo pulled him off and choke slammed him. Tony helped Hendry up, but would chokeslam him as well, before sliding Joe’s limp body on top of Lennox allowing Hendry to pick up the victory.
After the match, Ava sent out NXT security to escort Tony out of the ring. D’Angelo would lay out anyone who tried to remove him
