Match One
Six Woman Tag Team Match:
Fatal Influence (Fallon Henly, Laniey Reid and Jacy Jayne) Defeated The Culling (NXT Women’s Champion Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame) and Lola Vice Via Pinfall
This multi-woman match kicked off with Vice and Jayne renewing their rivalry with the MMA trained superstar taking control; this allowed The Culling to show their tag team cohesion. Fatal Influence continuously tried their usual style of using their numbers to overwhelm their opponents, managing to triple team the champion for a very near fall. After both teams simultaneously implemented blind tags, Jayne snuck in the match and rocked Dame with her ‘Rolling Encore’ right hand to pick up the victory for her team.
TNA Knockouts Champion Kelani Jordan came out to address her perceived disrespect and recent criticism by the WWE Universe. Jordan concluded her time by proclaiming she will not defend the Knockouts Championship at the upcoming ‘Goldrush’ event.
Backstage, OTM were being interviewed about their recent return. The interview was interrupted by Chase U who was still upset about being attacked last week. Fortunately, there would be no physicality as Mr. Chase calmed his students down.
Match Two:
NXT Speed Champion El Grande Americano (With Los Americanos) Defeated Josh Briggs Via Submission
Briggs used his size and strength advantage to overpower the popular “luchador” in the early moments of the match. Americano’s night got worse when future Speed challenger Jasper Troy came out and caused a distraction that allowed Briggs to boot him right in the face. After a series of back and forth competition, El Grande locked Briggs in a submission forcing the big man to tap out.
Backstage, NXT GM Ava made a match between Kelani Jordan and Tyra Mae Steele for later in the evening.
NXT Champion Ricky Saints and challenger Trick Williams had a side by side sit down interview. Things turned physical as the two enemies left their separate interview spaces and fought in the backstage area. Eventually, Williams struck Saints in the midsection with a steel pipe, leaving the champion laying.
Match Three
Women’s NXT Speed Championship Tournament Match:
Zaria (With Sol Ruca) Defeated Wren Sinclair (With WWE Evolve Champion Kendal Grey) Via Pinfall
Despite Sinclair’s residence and heartfelt performance, the powerhouse Zaria picked up the victory after a massive spear and an’F5’ like slam.
Match Four:
TNA Knockouts Champion Kelani Jordan Defeated Tyra Mae Steele Via Pinfall
The Olympic gold medalist displayed her technical ability in the early moments of the match, often besting the champion. Jordan rebounded with less than sportsmanlike tactics, even throwing Tyra into the solid steel ringpost and then systematically targeting her shoulder. In the end, Jordan put away Steele with her signature ‘One Of A Kind’ splitlegged moonsault.
After the match, TNA ‘Director of Authority’ Santino informed Kelani that she will be defending her Knockouts championship at WWE Goldrush in a triple threat match against Lei Ying Lee and Jordynne Grace.
Match Five:
Je’Von Evans Defeated Saquon Shugars (With Darkstate) Via Pinfall
Evans did not wait for the bell and dove over the top rope, taking out all the members of Dark State. Once the bell rang, Shugars used his strength to ground the high flying Evans, even earning a near fall. ‘The Young OG’ recovered and unleashed a flurry of fast paced innovative offense, practically flying around the ring. After a highly competitive and high octane contest where both men showed how athletically gifted they are, Evans secured the victory with a superkick and corkscrew moonsault from the top rope.
NXT concluded with the new AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions, NXT North American Champion ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page and Chelsea Green, celebrating their victory. The less than popular duo’s festivities were interrupted by Joe Hendry and Thea Hail, who will challenge for the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships at Goldrush.
