November Reign kicked off with The Draw taking over the ring to talk about their upcoming six man tag match. They were interrupted by Damnation, who surrounded the entire ring in a show of unity and force. After moments of verbal back and forth, Amon chose Michael Everything to take on The Draw’s Wyatt Black.
Match One:
‘The Controversy King’ Wyatt Black (With The Draw) Defeated Michael Everything (With Damnation) Via Pinfall
Black took control of the early moments of the match, hitting Everything with a powerful slam and a running knee. Everything fired back with a splash in the corner and a corkscrew uppercut which dazed the “Controversy King”. After a lot of action, Black hit a step-up stunner, a frog splash and eventually won the match with a rib cord neck breaker that he calls ‘The Quick Draw’. This victory gave The Draw a lot of much needed momentum going into the night’s main event.
Match Two
Tag Team Match:
Damnation (Chase Maddox and The BloodBeast) Defeated Dorian Hyde and Brock Hudson Via Submission
Before the match Hyde revealed that he did not have a tag team partner or his manager; making him very vulnerable to Damnation’s force. WVWF General Manager Loveable Lester heard his concerns and decided to team him up with Brock Hudson.
Damnation once again circled the ring, preventing Hudson from leaving the match. Unsurprisingly, Brock was mercilessly pummeled by The BloodBeast. Once in the match, Hyde did not fare any better as he received a choke slam that sent him into Chase who locked him in ‘The Maddox Clutch’ forcing the masked giant to tap out.
After the match, the Tag Team Championships Cease and Desist came out to address their very vocal challengers. The champs made it very clear they will not back down from any team who wants to try and take their championships.
Match 3:
‘Blue Collar Beef’ Dax Preacher (With Side Salad) Defeated ‘The Demon’ Damien Abel Via Pinfall
The two hosses started this match with a mutual show of respect, shaking each other’s hands, before laying into one another with brutal chops. The returning Abel showed his power by sending Beef crashing to the mat with a powerful scoop slam, taking the ‘Blue Collar’ fan favorite off of his feet. Preacher recovered and struck with a signature stunner and his meat cleaver to the back of Abel’s head picking up the very hard-earned victory.
Match 4:
Ryan Steel Defeated Josh Jade Via Pinfall
Even though Jade wanted to get his hands on Nate Steel, tonight he had to settle for his brother Ryan. Once the bell sounded, Steel immediately struck Jade with a shotgun drop kick and fisherman’s suplex. Jade returned the favor and hit a dropkick of his own and locked in various submissions targeting Steel’s legs before hitting a ‘J Cutter’ on the apron. After a very hard hitting match, Steel hit Jade with ‘The King’s Cutter’ from the top rope to pick up the victory.
Match 5
DCW Heavyweight Championship Match:
Phantom (Champion With Damnation) Defeated ‘The Fabulous’ Phoebe Harper Via Pinfall
The plucky Harper wasted no time and attacked the champion, hitting him as often and as hard as she could. Phantom calmed the fabulous one’s fury with two massive boots to the face. The spirit of competition reached a fever pitch as the two exchanged multiple roll-ups and chops proving what each other would do to put their opponent away. While Phoebe had Phantom locked in the figure eight submission, Amon seemingly pulled at her arm and distracted her, allowing Phantom to hit his ‘OGS’ to retain his DCW championship.
Match Six
Six Man Tag Team Match:
The Draw (WVWF Heavyweight Champion Aaron James, Wyatt Black and Tony Sane) Defeated WVWF Tag Team Champions Cease and Desist (Hypeman Dan Lasers and ‘The Rarebird’ Chris Phoenix) and WVWF Mountain State Champion ‘The Outlaw’ Nate Steel Via Pinfall
Former teammates James and Nate Steel teased a Syndicate reunion before Steel super kicked the champion. All six men took turns striking one another in a very chaotic scene. Once things calmed down enough for the rules of the match to be enforced, The Draw isolated Steel preventing ‘The Outlaw’ from tagging in one of his teammates. Once in the match, Phoenix flew across the ring, gaining much-needed momentum for his team. While Lasers had James locked in a cross face, Wyatt Black decided to take out the official. Without a referee, all six men attacked each other with weapons including; a very sparkly crutch and a tennis racket covered in barbed wire. After a very chaotic carnage filled match, Aaron James struck Phoenix with the ‘Kill Shot’ picking up the win for his team.
After the match, Nate Steel surprised fans by curb stomping the tag team champions and then hugging Aaron James, betraying the men who had fought by his side for months.
WVWF’s next show will take place on November 15th at 325 7th Street in beautiful downtown Parkersburg West Virginia.
