Will Ospreay continues to make progress in his recovery following neck surgery earlier this fall.
Saminder Singh of the Body Alignment Clinic in Rainham, Essex provided an update on Instagram this week, writing, “@aew Allstar @willospreay 6 weeks post op and doing great! Still some way to go but we’re on the right road. Jan 2026.”
Ospreay, a former AEW International Champion, suffered the injury during the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event in August. After a lights-out steel cage match, Ospreay was attacked by Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), and Gabe Kidd. The group wrapped a chair around Ospreay’s neck and stomped on it, aggravating an existing injury and leading to him being stretchered from the ring.
The British star underwent surgery in September and has been in rehabilitation since. Singh’s update suggests Ospreay’s recovery is progressing well, with a potential return to the ring targeted for early 2026.
