The finals are officially set for this year’s Best of the Super Jr. Tag League, following the conclusion of round-robin action Saturday night at Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium.

Taiji Ishimori and Robbie X clinched their spot in Sunday’s finals with a decisive victory over Kosei Fujita and Robbie Eagles in the main event. Ishimori pinned Eagles after hitting the Bloody Cross, giving his team a 4–1 record and eight points to finish atop B Block via tiebreaker over their opponents.

After the match, Ishimori and X were confronted by A Block winners DOUKI & SHO, who launched a surprise attack. The War Dogs duo fought back, standing tall ahead of their championship clash in Gifu.

Earlier in the night, Ishimori and X benefited from some outside help when El Desperado and KUUKAI defeated KUSHIDA and Yuki Yoshioka. That result ensured that the main event would serve as the group decider.

In the opening B Block match of the evening, YAMATO and Tiger Mask earned their first win of the tournament, defeating House of Torture members Dick Togo and Yoshinobu Kanemaru to avoid a last-place finish.
