This week’s episode of NWA Powerrr on Roku Sports featured matches from the NWA 77th Anniversary event from the Paramount in Huntington, New York.
NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship | Alex Taylor (c) defeated Rich Swann
Taylor, also one-half of the NWA United States Tag Team Champions, retained his Junior Heavyweight Title in a hard-fought contest against Swann. The champion’s double-title status continues to raise the stakes each time he competes. Swann pushed Taylor to his limit in a fast-paced bout that kept fans guessing until the end.
NWA World Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender’s Four-Way Elimination Match | The Colons defeated The Slime Ballz, Blunt Force Trauma, and Nightmare Syn (Frank & Zyon)
Nightmare Syn were eliminated during the commercial break, playing little role in the match. Aron Stevens shocked viewers by turning on Blunt Force Trauma, causing their elimination and seemingly aligning himself with Carson Bartholomew Drake and The Slime Ballz. The final exchange between The Colons and The Slime Ballz delivered strong tag team action, with The Colons ultimately securing the win and a future NWA World Tag Team Title opportunity.
Kyle Davis interviewed Da Pope
Pope announced he was not yet cleared to wrestle following a recent attack but vowed to return soon, hinting at a rematch with Mims for the NWA National Championship. The promo effectively built anticipation for their next confrontation.
NWA Television Championship | Bryan Idol (c) defeated Joe Ocasio
Ocasio, wrestling in his home region, challenged Idol for the Television Title but fell short after a competitive showing. Idol continues to inch closer to invoking the Lucky 7 Rule, which would earn him a future shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
