The new Mountain State Champion, Nate Steel, kicked off the show by thanking all of the fans for their support throughout his long journey to becoming a single champion for the first time in his career. Steel promised to be a fighting champion, introducing his “Outlaw Invitational” open challenge. Josh Jade tried to accept the challenge, but this match seemed uncertain as he was suspended. Steel asked WVWF GM Loveable Lester to lift the suspension and make the match anyway. Double L agreed with the condition that he was the special guest referee.
Match One
Mountain State Championship Match With Special Guest Referee Double L:
Nate Steel (Champion) Versus Josh Jade Ended In A No Contest
Despite answering the open challenge, Jade spent the first few moments of the match running from the champion. When the opportunity presented itself, Steel drop kicked Jade, threw him into the corner and proceeded to deliver a well-placed knee to the face. Jade rebounded and hit the ‘J- Cutter’ for a very near fall. The opportunistic Jade took the Mountain State title and tried to hit Steel, but inadvertently struck Lester instead. While the official was down, Jade attacked Steel until many members of the locker room chased him out. This match was deemed a no contest.
Match Two
PCWA Women’s Championship Match:
Slammin Sammy (Champion) Defeated Brittnay Storm (With The Collective) Via Pinfall
Sammy took early control of her challenger, overpowering her and sending her to the mat multiple times. Storm showed a lot of aggression, hitting Sammy with stiff forearms and a nasty clothesline. Things devolved into a fist fight in which both women hit each other as hard as they could, absolutely rocking one another. After the bitter brawl, Sammy sent Storm crashing into the mat with a spine buster to retain her championship.
Match Three
Unsanctioned No Disqualification Match:
Wyatt Black Defeated Rikku St Helen Via Referee Stoppage
The long-term rivals wasted no time and began fighting the moment the bell rang. Black and St Helen took advantage of the match having no disqualifications and brutalized each other with various barbed wire covered weapons including; a crutch, a 2×4, several boards and even a steel chair. After several moments of violent mayhem, Black tried to apologize but was met with his signature move, a running knee. While Rikku was down, Aaron James and Tony Sane came out to help the third member of The Draw. Black covered the mat with thumbtacks before Aaron James gave Rikku his ‘Kill Shot’. While Rikku was down, Wyatt placed a steel chair around her neck which forced her father Carl to throw in the towel to end the match and save his daughter.
After the match, Wyatt swung the chair anyway trying to permanently name St Helen. Tag team champions Cease and Desist and Nate Steel came out and ran The Draw off before any more damage could be done.
Match Four:
‘Psycho Killa’ Dae Jamison (With Am-Po) Defeated ‘The Fabulous’ Phoebe Harper Via Pinfall
Harper started off by taunting and slapping Dae, but her tactics did not work on the ‘Psycho Killa’ who responded by knocking her to the ground. Phoebe caught Dae with a tornado DDT that sent him spinning to the outside. Back in the ring, Dae sent all of his weight crashing into the fabulous one with a splash from the top rope. The Stars ‘Aligned’ during the match, as Phoebe paid an homage to her tag team partner Godrick Sandwell performing his version of the 619. After a hard hitting and competitive match, Dae hit Harper with a small package vertebreaker to pick up the win for him and gain some retribution for his Collective family.
Match Five
Tag Team Championship Match:
Cease and Desist (Champions HypeMan Dan Lasers and ‘The Rarebird’ Chris Phoenix with Firefly and Nate Steel) Defeated The Draw (WVWF Heavyweight Champion ‘Chaos’ Incarnate’ Aaron James and Tony Sane With Wyatt Black) Via Pinfall
A fist fight broke out before the bell had a chance to ring, with neither team gaining much of an advantage. Once the match started, The Draw isolated the HypeMan, earning a few near falls. Once he was in the match, Phoenix showed a very technical side and locked in submissions on Tony Sane. Despite Wyatt Black’s consistent interference, Phoenix landed a swanton bomb on Aaron James to retain the championships.
Match Six
Triple Threat Lumberjack Match For The WVWF Hybrid Championship:
‘Chemical Valley Gunslinger’ James Enoch (Champion) Defeated USWA Universal Champion Tau’Fua and Ryan Steel Via Pinfall
The three powerhouses hit each other with brutal chops, each trying to establish dominance early with Tau’Fua eventually getting the better of the exchange. After Enoch gave Tau’Fua a ‘Twist Of Fate’ on the apron and both men were outside of the ring, Ryan Steel dove gracefully over the top rope, crashing into his opponents and all of the lumberjacks. In the end, after a highly savage contest, the champion DDT’d Steel on a broken chair to retain his championship.
After the match, Steel and Enoch faced off and got into a fist fight so severe many members of the locker room had to come out and break it up. Once the two fighters were separated, Steel challenged Enoch to a non title match claiming all he wanted was to prove he was better than James Enoch.
After the show was completed, Damnation leader Amon and Tori called out the entire tag team division (The Draw, The Collective and champions Cease and Desist) and challenged them to a fatal four-way match for the tag team championships. Since no member of WVWF management were present to make this match official it is not known at this time if the star-filled tag match will happen, but The Collective made their championship aspirations very clear and the champions said they would take on any and all challengers who wanted to step up. This situation is definitely one to keep an eye on.
Mountain Mama Wrestling will hold their second show this Saturday at the Richardson Building October 18th.
