Rising professional wrestling prospect Zayda Steel has officially announced her departure from the WWE ID program, marking the end of her tenure with the company’s talent development system.
In a statement shared on social media, Steel wrote:
“I’ve decided not to renew my WWE ID contract. I’m incredibly grateful for all the knowledge, experience, and opportunities I’ve gained along the way, but at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for me. I’m only 21, and have already done so much, but I’m just getting started! Thank you ❤️”
Steel, 21, joined the WWE’s ID program as part of its initiative to cultivate new talent from diverse athletic and performance backgrounds. During her time in the system, she trained at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Her decision to move on comes as the program continues to evolve, preparing the next generation of WWE Superstars for future television and live event opportunities.
Steel has not yet announced her next steps, but emphasized that her journey in professional wrestling is far from over.
