Match One

WVWF Tag Team Championship Match:

Cease and Desist (Hypeman Dan Lasers and ‘The Rare Bird’ Chris Phoenix With Firefly) Defeated The Draw (Champions, ‘Chaos Incarnate’ Aaron James and ‘The Controversy King’ Wyatt Black’) Via Pinfall

The champions controlled the early moments of the match with Aaron James using his strength advantage, Black picking the most opportune moments to strike and both using frequent tags to overwhelm the challengers. Hypeman changed the momentum of the match by superkicking Wyatt, tossing him off the top rope and then locking him in a sleeper hold. After James was taken out with a double superkick, Hypman hit his signature half nelson facebuster he calls ‘Breaking The Internet’ on Wyatt earning his team the tag team championships.

After the match, WVWF Women’s Champion Rikku St. Helen returned and struck her long time rival Wyatt Black in the head with a steel pipe. Once he came to, Black challenged St. Helen to a match for the Women’s Championship. Rikku wasted no time accepting the challenge.

Match Two:

Taxi Defeated Josh Jade Via Pinfall

After being on the wrong end of countless sneak attacks for months, Jade gave Taxi a dose of his own medicine and hit him with a steel chair during his entrance and proceeded to throw him face first into the solid ring post. During the match’s chaos, the official was inadvertently struck down, giving Taxi the chance to send Jade face first into a steel chair that was conveniently placed in between two turnbuckles. Afterwards, an injured Jade walked into Taxi who disrespectfully hit Josh with his own move, the J-Cutter, to pick up the unpopular victory.

Match Three

Intergender Tag Team Match:

Stars Align (‘Fabulous’ Phoebe Harper and ‘The Gentleman of Exquisite Caliber’ Godrick Sandwell) Defeated The Collective (Brittnay Storm and USWA Universal Champion Tau’Fua) Via Pinfall

The fabulous Phoebe started this contest by standing toe to toe with Tau’Fua, despite her brazen attempts she would not be successful in moving ‘The Samoan Nightmare’. Longtime “friends” Sandwell and Tau’Fua squared off in a very competitive and sportsmen-like exchange. The spirit of competition would end as the personal animosity between Harper and Storm took over, in which Phoebe would relentlessly attack Brittnay or Storm would use her strength to overpower her opponent. Tau’Fua’s influence became obvious as it caused Sandwell visible discomfort and confusion, and Strom to become far more aggressive than she has ever been. After a lot of action, Harper hit Storm with a Canadian Destroyer to win the match for her team.

After the match, Storm unleashed her frustration on everyone; including her own partner and myself…even throwing my crutches across the room.

Match Four

Mountain State Championship Match:

‘Outlaw’ Nate Steel Defeated ‘Blue Collar Beef’ Dax Preacher (Champion, With Side Salad) Via Pinfall

The hardcore brute known as ‘Bluecollar Beef’ took early control of his challenger, often overpowering him. A very motivated Steel endured, fought back and dropped an elbow from the top rope. When Beef went for his ‘meat clever’ elbow, Steel reversed it and managed to hit Dax with a curb stomp severe enough to win him a singles championship for the first time in his over ten year long career. As Nate was being handed the championship belt, the impassioned fans chanted “YOU DESERVE IT!!!”

After the match Josh Jade came out to celebrate Steel’s victory, but this turned out to be a ruse. Jade attacked Nate and was so unrelenting it would take Maverick to stop him from further assaulting the new champion. For these actions, and striking WVWF officials, Loveable Lester suspended Jade.

Match Five

Triple Threat Match For The WVWF Hybrid Championship:

The ‘Chemical Valley Gunslinger’ James Enoch Defeated Cody Maverick and Ryan Steel Via Pinfall

The beginning moments of this match were fast paced and very kinetic as all three men hit one another with their hardest shots. After things spilled to the outside, Steel unleashed a lot of anger on both men, especially when he kneed Enoch in the face and dropped him with a death valley driver on the ring’s apron. Maverick would use this opening to hit the champion with a ‘fameasser’ for a very near fall. In the end, Steel would hit Maverick with a pop up powerbomb, but the wiley champion would send him out of the ring and pin Cody himself, successfully retaining his championship. Making things worse for Steel is the fact that he was a split second away from stopping the official’s count.

After the match, Steel and Enoch would get into a fist fight. Surprisingly, Tau’Fua would come out and try to stop them from destroying each other. Tau’Fua’s good intentions backfired as all three men ended up in a brawl that would take all of WVWF’s officials and several members of the locker room to control. Loveable Lester decided in order to settle things Enoch, Steel and Tau’Fua would face off next week in a triple threat lumberjack match.
