September 27th, 2025

The night kicked off with the new tag team champions, The Draw, celebrating their victory. The festivities were interrupted by ‘Outlaw’ Nate Steel and the number one contenders Cease and Desist. With all of these combustible elements, it is no surprise a fight broke out, fueling two major matches occurring later in the evening.

While the ring was being cleared of all the debris, Lovable Lester asked Tyler Strategious about his obvious attitude change. Tyler responded by saying he is done with the crowd booing him and the lack of respect that he’s received from everyone. He informed the general manager that when his contract is completed, he is done with the WVWF.

Match One

Lumberjack Deathmatch For The Mountain State Championship With Special Guest Referee JC Grunge:

‘Blue Collar Beef’ Dax Preacher (Champion, With Side Salad) Defeated Chase Maddox (With Emori Maddox and Aamon) Via Pinfall

The two violent hosses wasted no time and got into a fist fight. Preacher utilized the rules of this match and put Chase through a mousetrap cover table. Maddox responded by placing a gusset plate in Dax’s forehead and kicking him repeatedly. After the fight spilled to the outside and the various lumberjacks got their chance to strike their chosen participant, both men were sent crashing through a table that had a barbed wire top. While both men were recovering, Side Salad and Emori got into a confrontation, but the lumberjacks separated them before anything could happen. In the end, Beef  hit Chase with a stunner and his signature ‘Meat Cleaver’ to the back of the head to retain his championship.

Match Two

Match Where The Winner Will Become The Number One Contender For The Hybrid Championship:

Maverick Versus Ryan Steel Ended in a Double Count Out

This high stakes match between former tag team partners started with a relative stalemate as they are both very familiar with one another. The fans however were firmly in the corner of Maverick, cheering him on throughout the duration of this match. This motivated the already angry Steel who took the fight to the outside of the ring. Things escalated so much that both men were unable to answer the referee’s call and were both counted out.

After the match, WVWF GM Double L decided that both men would be placed in a triple threat match for the Hybrid Championship with the champion James Enoch.

Match Three

Boot Camp Match:

Josh Jade Defeated Taxi Via Pinfall

Just like the past few months, Taxi attacked Josh Jade this time during his entrance, even throwing a tire at him. Jade responded by beating the man who has been tormenting him with a Kendo Stick. After things spilled to the outside of the ring, Jade was hit with a cutter to put away his nemesis.

After the match, Taxi extended his hand but low blowed Jade instead.

Match Four

Match Where The Winner Will Become The Number One Contender For The Mountain State Championship:

‘Outlaw’ Nate Steel Defeated Tony Sane (With Wyatt Black) Via Pinfall

Once the bell sounded Sane swarmed the Outlaw, refusing to let up on the attack. Steel rebounded and took the fight outside of the ring, utilizing the ring post and the ringside steel chairs. Back in the ring, Steel hit an elbow from the top rope but was unable to capitalize due to Black’s interference. After a very physical match, Steel laid out Sane with a super kick to become the number one contender.

After the match, Black attacked Steel causing the champion Dax Preacher to come out and even the odds.

‘The Fabulous’ Phoebe Harper came out to see who was going to take her up on her open challenge. Interestingly, a familiar foe came out to answer this important question; The Gentleman of Exquisite Caliber Godrick Sandwell.

Match Five:

‘The Gentleman Of Exquisite Caliber’ Godrick Sandwell Defeated ‘The Fabulous’ Phoebe Harper Via Pinfall

Harper taunted Sandwell, goading him into a fight he was still slightly uncomfortable with. After being driven to this point, Sandwell struck Harper; even running her face across the ring ropes as she had done to him. The ever defiant Harper slapped, stomped and delivered a leg drop that seemed rather low; proving she was not going to back down. In the end, Sandwell hit Phoebe with a Steamroller, concluding this very emotional and competitive match.

After the match, Sandwell told Harper that even in defeat she has earned the right to compete with the best that WVWF  has to offer and raised Harper’s hand in respect.

Match Six

WVWF Tag Team Championship Match:

The Draw (Champions, ‘Chaos Incarnate’ Aaron James and ‘The Controversy King’ Wyatt Black) Defeated Cease and Desist (The Hypeman Dan Lasers and ‘The Rare Bird’ Chris Phoenix) Via Pinfall

Aaron James started this match by overpowering Phoenix, knocking him down and preventing the rare bird’s signature high flying offense. Black tried to ground the Hypeman, but the veteran reversed the momentum. Black endured and hit Phoenix with a running knee, proving why he is a champion despite a lot of criticism. In the end, Aaron hit the Hypeman with his “Kill Shot’ inverted DDT allowing Black to pick up the win for his team. After the match, Cease and Desist challenged The Draw to a rematch as like many fans in the audience they were unhappy with this result.

The WVWF’s next show will happen this Saturday October 4th at The Richardson Building, 325 7th Street Pakersburgh WV .
