Prestige Wrestling, a leading independent promotion in the Pacific Northwest, will go on hiatus following its next four shows. Promoter William Quintana made the announcement Tuesday, citing personal and professional challenges.
Founded in 2017, Prestige has been recognized for showcasing top regional talent while also featuring stars from across the wrestling world. Over its eight-year run, the company built a reputation as one of the standout names in independent wrestling.
“This post will come as a surprise to most & I am so sorry that I have to do this,” Quintana wrote. “I fear I am losing ‘the feeling’ & I need to take a break to discover my passion again.”
The remaining events include an October 5 show in Portland, Oregon, featuring Shayna Baszler, Masha Slamovich, Danhausen, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows, and Prestige Champion Judas Icarus. A November 7 event in Los Angeles and two additional unannounced dates will follow.
Quintana did not confirm whether Prestige will return in the future, urging fans instead to support other independent promotions such as West Coast Pro, Deadlock Pro Wrestling, DOA Pro Wrestling, New Texas Pro Wrestling, and Nation Extreme Wrestling.
“Life has twists & turns – This may be a ‘see you later’ type scenario, it may be a ‘goodbye’ type scenario. Either way, we’re gonna rock these final 4 shows,” Quintana wrote.
