Match One
NXT Women’s Championship Number One Contendership Triple Threat Match:
Lola Vice Defeated Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan Via Pinfall
The match started with Vice and Jordan stalemating one another with pretty equal offense, before the powerful Ms. Parker came in and used her strength to take control of her opponents. Jordan displayed her athleticism, hitting both women with a corkscrew moonsault. The last moments of the match were very exciting as Lola had Jordan locked in a guillotine choke when saw Parker coming at her forcing her to break the hold. Jaida hit Jordan with ‘hipnotic’ and pushed her out of the ring but would be rolled up by Vice. Lola will face the champion at WWE No Mercy on September 27th.
Match Two
NXT Tag Team Championship Match:
Dark State Defeated Hank and Tank (Champions) Via Pinfall
Despite trying to throw the champions off of their game by waiting until the very last second to reveal which Dark State members they would be facing, Hank and Tank would be in control for most of the match. The challengers tried to use their numbers advantage, but Hank and Tank would fight them off. Despite not having much momentum throughout the match, in the final moments Dark State pulled off a spectacular eclectic chair/ top rope clothesline combination to become the new tag team champions.
Backstage, NXT GM Ava informed Lexis King that he will receive a dose of his own medicine when he faces Myles Borne in a ‘blindfold match’ on Tuesday.
Match Three
TNA Knock Outs Championship Triple Threat Match:
Ash By Elegance (With Heather and M By Elegance) Defeated Jacy Jayne (Champion With Fallon Henly and Jasmin Nyx) and Masha Slamovich Via Pinfall
Masha and Ash continued their animosity by fighting one another, purposely ignoring the champion. The often overlooked double champion made her presence felt by getting the best of both challengers, showing her many doubters wrong. After being caught striking Ash, the members of Fatal Influence would be ejected from ringside, drastically altering whatever their game plan was. During a few near falls, The Elegance Brand pulled Jayne out of the ring, clearing the way for Ash to hit a swantonbomb on Masha and bring the Knockouts Championship back to TNA.
Match Four:
Blake Monroe Defeated Jordynne Grace Via Pinfall
The moment the bell sounded, Monroe slapped Grace infuriating the Juggernaut. The continued disrespect fueled Grace, who used her power advantage to punish her glamorous former friend. Monroe showed her ugly side, using the steel ring steps and ring post to dissect her opponent by targeting Jordynne’s shoulder. Despite continuously fighting through the pain, Grace would be thrown shoulder first and then stomped face first into the exposed turnbuckle, allowing Monroe to plant her with a double underhook DDT to pick up the victory.
Match Five
Mixed Tag Team Match:
NXT North American Champion Ethan Page and Chelsea Green (With Alba Fyre and Piper Niven) Defeated Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele Via Pinfall
The Olympians took control of the match early, showing great tag team cohesion despite never teaming before and their individual lack of experience. Before long Page and Green isolated Heights, continuously preventing him from tagging in Tyra. During a fast paced sequence Alba Fyre got involved super kicking Tyra and sending her right into Chelsea who proceeded to drop the gold medalist with her ‘unprett-her’ picking up the win for her team.
Match Six
NXT Championship Match:
Oba Femi (Champion) Defeated Je’Von Evans Via Pinfall
The massive champion set the pace of this match during its first moments, slowing it down and grounding the plucky high flyer. Evans endured what felt like an endless amount of punishment and rebounded by striking the champ with fists and creative offense including two massive frog splashes. While the official was inadvertently knocked out, Evans strung together a series of offense, went for the pinfall and many believed he had done the impossible as a second referee came out and counted to three. However, in an extremely heartbreaking turn of events, the original referee came to and saw that Femi’s foot was under the bottom rope, meaning this match would continue. Realizing how close he was to losing his title, Femi threw Evans over the top rope and sent him crashing through the announce table. Back in the ring, Oba dropped Je’Von with a pop up powerbomb to retain his championship.
After the match, Ricky Saints came out and had a face off with Oba, making his championship intentions very clear.
