August 23rd, 2025

Lockup began with all the members of the WVWF locker room surrounding the ring to celebrate the career of JC Grunge. The recently retired hardcore legend was informed that he will be officially inducted into the 2025 Hall of Fame. To solidify this moment, he was presented with a custom championship belt.

Outlaw Nate Steel came out to announce that he is not medically cleared to compete due to the attack he endured at the hands of The Institute. As he was making a promise to return as soon as possible, The Institute surrounded the ring. Tony Sane confronted Steel saying as soon as he’s cleared the two will finish their business. While Sane was gloating, Steel surprised everyone and attacked him proving that it was just a ruse and that he can execute a devious plan just like The Institute can.

Match One

Handicapped Match:

‘Outlaw’ Nate Steel Defeated Dorian Hyde (With Morgana Raven and Baliztik Breeze) and Jebediah Platinum Via Pinfall

The hulking Hyde took control early by overpowering Steel. Once Jebediah entered the match he implemented a more technical style, placing Steel in various submission holds. The Outlaw overcame the odds and won the match after delivering an elbow drop from the top rope and pinning Allen Platinum.

Match Two

WVWF Tag Team Championship Tournament Match:

The Institute (WVWF Heavyweight Champion Aaron James and Tony Sane) Defeated The Old Guard (Wildcat and Brock Hudson) Via Pinfall

After the Old Guard played some mind games, The Institute took over the match and isolated Brock by implementing frequent tags and double team maneuvers. The angry Hall of famer Wildcat tagged himself in and punished Tony Sane before exiting the match. In the end, the deserted Hudson was speared in half and The Institute advanced in the tag team tournament.

Match Three:

Allen Platinum (With Damnation) Defeated Michael Everything Via Pinfall

The two former stable mates had a fairly even exchange since they both had something to prove. Even though he was severely outnumbered, Everything continued to fight with chokes and a splash from the top rope. In the end, Allen won with a flatliner he called ‘The Encore’.

After the match, Allen attacked Michael Everything with a kendo stick before being called off by Father Amon.

Former Women’s Champion Brittany Storm made her return to WVWF to show off her newly won ‘Starlight’ Women’s Championship. During this time, WVWF GM Lovable Lester welcomed her back and informed everybody that Jayde Mae had vacated the women’s championship. This news intrigued Storm who quickly made her future championship aspirations very clear.

Match Four

Tag Team Match:

‘The Rare Bird’ Chris Phoenix and Rikku St Helen (With ‘HypeMan’ Dan Lasers) Defeated Wyatt Black and Carl (With Aaron James) Via Pinfall

The continuously disrespectful Black began this match by slapping his long time adversary Rikku. Once she found her bearings, St Helen dropped Black with ‘The World’s Strongest Slam’. When he was in the match, Phoenix recklessly flew around the ring doing everything he could to help protect St. Helen. In a very sad instance Carl and Rikku stood in the center of the ring and hit each other, showing how far this family has disintegrated. While Black and Phoenix were fighting on the outside, Rikku hit her father with a running knee and sliding slam to pick up the victory. After the match, Wyatt berated Carl for losing and disrespected him with a slap to the face. Carl eventually had enough and dropped Black with a right hand and exited the ring.

Match Five

Triple Threat For The WVWF Mountain State Championship With special Guest Referee JC Grunge:

Dax Preacher (Champion) Defeated Josh Jade and Ryan Steel Via Pinfall

Beef and Steel began this match by removing Josh from the ring and having an old fashioned fist fight. The next moments were chaotic as the three men hit each other with various moves with neither getting much of an advantage. After things broke down even further, including when referee JC Grunge was involved, Beef hit Jade with a stiff forearm to the back of the neck to retain his championship.

After the match, the enraged Steel demanded to face Hybrid Champion James Enoch.

While things were settling down, Taxi stormed the ring to continue his relentless harassment of Josh Jade and super kicked him. In a surprising turn of events, Father Amon and Michael Everything chased Taxi out of the ring.

Match 6

Triple Threat Match:

‘The Fabulous’ Phoebe Harper Defeated ‘Hypeman’ Dan Lasers and ‘Brutal’ Ben Metal Via Pinfall

This match was originally Ben Metal answering Phoebe’s open challenge. After the two had a harsh exchange of words, The Hypeman came out and used this opportunity to continue his growing rivalry with Ben Metal, turning this match into a triple threat.

Once the match officially began, Ben and Dan continued their animosity by trading submission attempts. Whenever the opportunity presented itself, Harper would interject herself to disrupt everything. In an impressive technical sequence, all three competitors were simultaneously locked in a submission hold. In the end, while Lasers and Metal were preoccupied with one another Phoebe found the perfect moment to push Metal out of the ring and roll up Dan Lasers to become the first female to not only compete in but win a match in the main event of a WVWF show.

WVWF’s next event will be on September 13th.
