Match One

Philadelphia Street Fight:

Josh Briggs Defeated Yoshiki Inamura Via Pinfall

The match started before the bell even rang, as these two former friends began battling from the backstage area all the way out to ringside. The two big men used steel chairs, a baseball bat, a kendo stick and even the metal guard rail to punish one another. In a hard to watch moment, Briggs taped Inamura’s hands to the top rope and proceeded to brutalize him with several kendo stick shots to the back. The honorable Yoshiki powered out of the makeshift restraints and lit up Briggs with a lot of Sumo style shots, eventually placing Josh inside of a steel trash can and hitting him with a baseball bat. After several moments of brutal action, Briggs hit Yoshiki with a beautiful moonsault through a table to pick up the victory.

Match Two:

‘The Revolution’ Ricky Saints Defeated ‘The Monster’s Jasper Troy Via Pinfall

Troy wasted little time overpowering Saints, throwing him around the ring and even booting him in the face. Ricky used his elusive athleticism to stay in the match; eventually surprising the big man with a Samoan drop that no one saw coming. After the two had a vicious exchange on the outside, Ricky hit a second tornado DDT to pick up the unexpected yet hard-earned win.

Before their very personal match on Sunday, Jordynn Grace and Blake Monroe had a final face to face meeting. Grace gave an impassioned speech, addressing the rather cruel things Monroe had said. Blake was not moved and hid behind security, claiming that if Jordynn placed her hands on her their match would be cancelled. Grace sent her rival a message by running through Blake’s entire security team, showing Monroe what she is up against on Sunday.

Match Three

Six Woman Tag Match (With Special Guest Referee Masha Slamovich):

Fatal Influence ( NXT Women’s Champion and TNA Knockouts Champion Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx) Defeated The Elegance Brand ( Ash and The TNA Women’s Tag Team Champions Heather and M  By Elegance With their Personal Concierge) Via Pinfall

The Elegance Brand began this match with frequent tags and isolating their opposing team’s least experienced member; Nyx. Fatal Influence rebounded with an impressive sequence of tandem offense that almost took out M By Elegance. After an unsuccessful pinfall attempt, an angry Ash yelled at the official which prevented her from seeing that Jayne had been tagged in. While Ash was preoccupied, Jacy snuck up and hit her with the ‘Rolling Encore’ right hand, picking up the win for Fatal Influence.

Unsurprisingly, the attempted “peace treaty” between NXT North American Champion ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page and Chelsea Green, and Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele was not signed.   Amidst the arguing, NXT GM Ava took control of the situation by placing all four in a mixed tag match on Sunday at Heatwave. The Olympians Steele and Heights got the better of the physical altercation; locking in duel ankle locks on the Candians.

Backstage, Lexis King sprayed something in his rival Myles Borne’s eyes; effectively blinding him.

Match Four

Number One Contender’s Match For The NXT Championship:

Je’Von Evans Defeated TNA Champion Trick Williams Via Pinfall

The second the bell sounded, Williams caught Evans with a massive boot to the face;  busting the ‘Young OG’s’ lip open and almost ending the match immediately. Evans responded with his signature fast paced style, often using his body as a weapon. For the majority of the match the two talented athletes hit each other as hard as possible, showing just how important this match’s stakes were. While Williams was distracted by TNA superstar Mike Santana, Evans hit back to back cutters from the top rope and became the new number one contender. Evans will not have the chance to face NXT Champion Oba Femi this Sunday at Heatwave.
