Crockett Cup Quarterfinals Continue, Chain Match Headlines
The Crockett Cup tournament marched forward on this week’s edition of NWA Powerrr, highlighted by hard-hitting quarterfinal matches and a violent grudge bout between former partners.
Chain Match | Wrecking Ball Legursky vs. Jay Bradley
A bitter rivalry came to a head as Wrecking Ball Legursky and Jay Bradley battled in a brutal chain match. Legursky jumped Bradley before the official start, slamming him on the entrance ramp and controlling the early exchanges.
Bradley answered back with repeated chokeholds using the steel chain and introduced weapons into the contest. A Vader Bomb–style elbow nearly secured him the victory, but Legursky roared back. A powerslam, a chair-assisted splash, and a punishing slam sealed the win for Legursky, giving him revenge over his former partner.
Winner: Wrecking Ball Legursky
Crockett Cup Quarterfinals: The Colons vs. Daisy Kill & Talos
Talos entered the match favoring his knee, and The Colons immediately targeted the weakness. Despite Talos using his size and power to briefly turn the tide with a flurry of headbutts, Daisy Kill struggled to make an impact.
The former WWE tag team capitalized late, sending Talos to the floor and isolating Kill. Epico hit a Backstabber, setting up Primo’s frog splash to secure the pinfall. The Colons advanced in convincing fashion and remain among the favorites to win the Crockett Cup.
Winners: The Colons
Crockett Cup Quarterfinals: Knox & Murdoch (w/ Eric Smalls) vs. Mondo & Slade
The hard-hitting duo of Knox and Trevor Murdoch continued their dominant run in the Crockett Cup. Murdoch controlled the early going with strikes and a spinebuster, while Knox used his size to overwhelm Slade.
Mondo and Slade cut Knox off with quick tags and double-teaming, grinding him down until Murdoch finally got the hot tag. The former NWA World Champion stormed in with clotheslines, big boots, and a Full Nelson Slam. After Knox neutralized Mondo on the outside, Murdoch hit a Sky High and the team finished Slade with a High/Low combination for the victory.
Winners: Knox & Murdoch
