NWA Powerrr made its highly-anticipated debut on Roku on June 28, 2025, with an action-packed episode centered around the legendary Crockett Cup tournament and the crowning of a new NWA World Television Champion.
Opening Package: Legacy of the NWA and Crockett Cup
The show opened with a highlight package showcasing the history and prestige of the NWA and the Crockett Cup.
David Crockett Invitational Tag Team Battle Royal
Winners Earn #12 Seed in the Crockett Cup
Winners: The Slimeballz
The evening’s first match featured chaos as nine tag teams clashed for the final spot in the Crockett Cup tournament. Stone Rockwell attempted to restore order early on but was quickly eliminated alongside his partner, ending The Temple of Duum’s run. The Beastman made an early impact with a huge cannonball and a double clothesline that cleared the field, but eliminations came fast and furious.
The JV Squad, Mr. Grim, Big Daddy Adrianna, and others were eliminated during and following a commercial break. In the final moments, The Slimeballz narrowly escaped elimination with clever evasion and quick offense. They ultimately outsmarted the JV Squad, sending them tumbling to the floor to secure their place in the Crockett Cup.
The Slimeballz vs. BFT (Carnage & Damage)
First Round Crockett Cup Match
Winners: The Slimeballz
The celebration was short-lived as BFT rushed the ring, kicking off the next round of the Crockett Cup. The Slimeballz were initially overwhelmed by the power of Carnage and Damage. However, quick thinking and resilience prevailed. Rant disrupted BFT’s rhythm with a chop block, and Chantz capitalized with a roll-up on Damage to secure a shocking victory.
After the bell, Aron Stevens fumed at the referee, but things got worse for him when Baron Von Storm appeared and locked in The Claw, rendering Stevens limp until Soda Pop Hendrix arrived to calm the chaos.
Backstage: Father James Mitchell and The Lost
Father James Mitchell ominously declared that The Lost would bring the Crockett Cup home, promising devastation in the tag team tournament.
Kenzie Paige, Silas Mason, and others were welcomed by Joe Cazana to the newly renovated NWA Territorial Headquarters. Paige and Tommy Henry expressed their growing frustration with Joe’s long-winded enthusiasm, while Joe tried recruiting Tyler Franks to support the Cup.
Promo: The Slimeballz
Outside the 2300 Arena, The Slimeballz were fired up, promising to take the Crockett Cup back to “Slimeball City.” Confident and energetic, they claimed BFT had no chance and the rest of the bracket would fall the same way. “It’s Slime time!”
The Lost (Steve & Misery) vs. EC3 & Pretty Boy Smooth
Crockett Cup First Round Match
Winners: EC3 & Pretty Boy Smooth
In a physical contest, The Lost (Crazzy Steve & Alex Misery) battled EC3 and Pretty Boy Smooth in a back-and-forth war. EC3 and Smooth showcased power and precision, while Steve and Misery used unorthodox tactics and endurance.
Pastor C-Lo and Father James Mitchell both got involved at ringside, causing distractions. The match broke into chaos before Smooth delivered a modified Blue Thunder Bomb on Misery to score the win for his team, advancing EC3 and Smooth in the tournament.
Carson Drake claimed he would reclaim the NWA World Television Championship, a title he never truly lost, and that Bryan Idol wouldn’t be able to stop him this time.
Main Event: Carson Drake vs. Bryan Idol
Vacant NWA World Television Championship
Winner and New Champion: Bryan Idol
In the television main event, Bryan Idol and Carson Drake fought for the vacant NWA World Television Championship. Idol started strong with fast-paced offense and kept Drake reeling with dropkicks and aerial attacks.
Drake responded with hard strikes and a brutal slingshot suplex. Despite a series of near falls from both men and escalating intensity, it was Idol who managed to reverse Drake’s final suplex attempt into the Killswitch, sealing the victory and becoming the new NWA World Television Champion.
