NXT began with a tribute video and ten bell salute for the legendary Hulk Hogan.

Match One:

Jaida Parker Defeated Jazmyn Nyx (With Fatal Influence) Via Pinfall

After initially being bullied, Nyx had a rather surprising showing, controlling the first moments of the match. Ms. Parker fought back by simply punching her opponent in the face, eventually hitting her ‘hipnotic’ finisher for the strong victory. The NXT fans reveled in the win, loudly chanting “Ms. Parker” in unison.

In the ring, Je’Von Evans was about to call out “the biggest dog in the yard” but was interrupted by TNA Heavyweight Champion Trick Williams. Evans disregarded the arrogant Williams saying he was actually calling out the NXT Champion Oba Femi. The High Ryze came out to tell Evans they will stop his championship pursuit. Despite landing the first shot, all four men left the Young OG laying in the ring.

Backstage, Chase U’s Kale Dixon and Uriah plotted to earn a tag team championship match by ambushing the champions in the locker room. Despite being spotted before and unable to follow through with their plan, Hank and Tank agreed to give them a title shot next week saying all they had to do was ask.

Match Two:

Tavion Heights Defeated Charlie Dempsey (With Wren Sinclair) Via Pinfall

The NQCC stablemates started this important rematch with back and forth technical wrestling as each man tried to gain any advantage over the other. Dempsey attempted various submission maneuvers trying to wear down the highly motivated Tavion. In the end, Heights utilized his power sending Dempsey crashing to the mat with a belly to belly suplex so devastating he was able to win the match and finally leave the NQCC.

While ‘The Glamour’ Blake Monroe was berating Jordynne Grace, she was interrupted by Lola Vice, Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan who all made their championship aspirations known. Before long, all four women had a massive brawl with no discernible victor.

Backstage, Shawn Spears informed Tatum Paxley that she will have a Women’s NXT North American Championship match against Sol Ruca next week.

Match Three:

Fallon Henley (With Fatal Influence) Defeated Lash Legend Via Pinfall

The ‘Bougie Bully’ swarmed Henley for much of the match, often throwing her opponent around the ring. After things had spilled to the outside, Nia Jax came out of nowhere and laid out Lash reigniting their animosity from Evolution. This interference gave Henley the opportunity to capitalize and hit Legend with a ‘Fameassor’ to pick up the win. After the match, ‘The Irresistible Force’ sent another message by crushing Legend with her ‘Anialator’.

Backstage, Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo and Yoshiki Inamura got into an altercation that will be settled in a match next week.

Match Four:

Je’Von Evans Defeated Wes Lee (With High Ryze) Via Pinfall

Evans wasted no time getting revenge for the attack earlier in the night by diving over the top rope and sending all of himself at Wes. Once the match started, Je’Von tried to continue beating up Wes, but Lee quickly turned things around and took control of the match; even landing a similar dive on the outside. After an adrenalized sequence of exchanged near falls, Evans hit Lee with a cutter from the top rope to win the match. After the match, NXT Champion Oba Femi, TNA Champion Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans had an intense stare down.

Backstage, Vic Joseph was interviewing Myles Borne who told his very inspiring life story which focused on the loss of his hearing.

Backstage, Lexis King told NXT GM Ava that he did not believe Myles was actually deaf and even called him a “phony”. Ava responded to the very disrespectful King by putting him in a match against Myles Borne next week.

It was announced that Blake Monroe will take on Kelani Jordan next week.

Backstage in the NXT parking lot, Nia Jax made a vague threat to “drop” someone next week.

Match Five

NXT North American Championship Match:

‘All Ego’ Ethan Page (Champion) Defeated ‘TNA Director of Authority’ Santino Marella Via Pinfall

As soon as the bell rang, Santino overwhelmed the champion with multiple fast paced roll ups proving he had not missed a step; eventually earning a ‘YOU STILL GOT IT’ chant. After Marella’s initial flurry was over, the two men had a very exciting evenly matched exchange that showcased each of their strengths. In the final moments of the match, Santino went for his signature ‘Cobra’ but the wily champion placed the official between them; creatively avoiding disaster. The referee’s momentary inclusion gave Page the chance to stick his thumb in Santino’s eye and drop him with the ‘Twisted Grin’ to retain the championship.
