Wipeout kicked off with IWC 50% owner Jock Samson congratulating the new heavyweight champion Duke Davis. The Metahuman came out to thank the fans and address while he chose Zach Nystrom as his first challenger. Before he could finish, Duke was interrupted by the other 50% owner of IWC Justin Plummer and the former heavyweight champion Bill Collier. Plummer demanded that Collier receive his rematch right then and there, but was also interrupted by Anthony Catena. The former member of team Plummer was trying to get back in Justin’s good graces but would be brow beaten and placed in an immediate match with Collier instead.
Match One:
‘Big Time’ Bill Collier Defeated Anthony Catena Via Submission
An angry Collier laid in a big boot to Catena right as the bell rang. For the next few moments Big Time decimated Anthony; throwing him across the ring, choking him, delivering stiff forearms and sending him crashing to the mat with a massive gorilla press. The match mercifully ended when Collier placed Catena in a crossface and allowed him to tap out. After the match, Bill reapplied the submission hold while yelling “I WANT MY TITLE BACK!!”
Backstage, Zach Nystrom was being interviewed about his championship match later in the night. The champion’s challenger told Duke he plans on doing everything possible to win tonight.
Match Two
Tag Team Match For The IWC Tag Team Championships:
The Foundation (Champions Bubba The Bulldog and Bulk Nasty) Defeated Derek Dillinger and Wes Barkley Via Pinfall
The challengers began the match by focusing their attention on the hostile crowd and avoiding their opponents by making quick tags in and out of the ring. Derek and Bubba locked up and eventually Dillinger overpowered one of IWC founding fathers. The wily vet responded to this strategy by tagging in Bulk, who bullied Dillinger by throwing him across the ring into the corner and running into him with full force. The challengers rebounded and isolated Bubba while taunting Bulk. Surprisingly, Derek walked out on his partner, essentially feeding him to Bulk who dropped him with a massive slam to retain the titles for his team.
Backstage, ‘The Eccentric Artist’ RC Dupree was being interviewed about his history with Elijah Dean. RC spoke no words and gave no answers as to why he has been continuously attacking the mandime or his students.
Match Three
Super Indy Tournament Qualifier Match:
Spencer Slade Defeated ‘The Steel City Super Nova’ Andrew Palace Via Pinfall
The two began with a very technical exchange before things broke down into a more physical confrontation. Spencer would be in control of the match for the next few moments, trying everything he could to slow down the signature high speed style of Palace. The crowd cheered on ‘The Heart and Soul of IWC’ who fought back delivering a long blower, a German suplex and a piledriver for a very near fall. After the two traded quick pinfall attempts, Spencer grabbed Palace’s tights and rolled him up long enough to advance into the prestigious Super Indy Tournament.
Backstage, Elijah Dean and Matthew Jaeger were being interviewed about their recent confrontations with RC Dupree. Jaeger respectfully said he wanted to face the man who has been attacking him and Dean one on one, mandime agreed to stay in the back during the match.
Match Four
Last Man Standing Match For The IWC High Stakes Championship:
Marcus DeAngelo Defeated Felix Koz (Champion)
Before the match Marcus attacked the champion and sent him out of the ring, giving him the chance to spin his own version of the ‘high stakes’ stipulation. The wheel would land on ‘last man standing’. When Koz reentered the ring, he took the fight right to the man who stole his championship belt. Felix gave the challenger stinging chops, laid in big boots and dropped him with a spinning slam. The despicable DeAngelo spat in the champion’s face, causing the normally fun loving man to become so enraged he knocked down the official. While Koz was attempting to apologize, DeAngelo put on a loaded glove and punched Felix right in the face so hard he was unable to make it back to his feet by the ref’s ten count. To the delight of no one, IWC now has a new High Stakes Champion; Marcus DeAngelo.
Match Five:
‘The Hammerlord’ Jami Jameson (With Zander Gaberiel) Defeated Ganon Jones Jr Via Pinfall
Uncharacteristically, Ganon ran right after the man who attacked him before the last show before the start of the match. Jones laid in stiff right hands and delivered an enormous suplex. Zander interfered by distracting The Allstar, allowing Jami the chance to hit, choke, land big boots and hit a leg drop on Ganon. Eventually things devolved into a fist fight where the two big men brutalized each other. After the two traded high impact moves, Zander sprayed Ganon with water giving Jami the opening to hit a death valley driver to pick up the win. After the match, Ganon dropped Zander with a DDT. Jami re-entered the ring and hit Jones in the head with a sledgehammer and proceeded to deliver three assisted side Russian leg sweeps. Jock Samson came out to try and stop the attack, but would also be hit in the head with Jameson’s hammer. Before any more damage was done, Jones’s longtime tag partner Duke Davis came out and chased Jami and Zander out of the ring.
Match Six:
‘The Eccentric Artist’ RC Dupree Defeated Matthew Jaeger Via Pinfall
Jaeger came in like a house of fire, taking the fight right to Dupree. Things spilled to the outside where RC would send Matthew up and over the guardrail crashing onto the concrete floor. Back in the ring, RC continued punishing Jaeger by laying in right hands, disrespectful slapping him and choking him. Jaeger fired back with a blue thunderbomb and a spinebuster for a rather unexpected near fall. In the end, partially thanks to a conveniently positioned official, Dupree landed a low blow and a DDT to win the match. After the match, RC armed himself and threatened to make Matthew “pay for his sins”. Fortunately, whatever dastardly plans Dupree had were stopped by Elijah Dean.
Match Seven
Super Indy Championship Match:
Sam ‘Hardway’ Holloway (Champion) Defeated Timothy Thatcher Via Pinfall
Thatcher took control quickly, wrenching and dissecting Holloway’s arm with various submissions and then delivering countless uppercuts. Holloway used his size and strength advantage to overpower Thatcher, proceeding to simply punch his challenger in the face. In the end, Sam threw Timothy into the ropes and when he ricocheted back, Holloway grabbed him and sent him crashing into the mat with a devastating chokeslam; ending a very hard hitting match and retaining his championship.
Match Eight
IWC Women’s Championship Match:
Mila Moore (Champion) Defeated ‘The Queen of the Silver Screen’ Katie Arquette Via Pinfall
The former Women’s Champion asserted her dominance, dropping Moore with multiple release German suplex’s. Mila sent Arquette midsection first into the ropes, choked her and laid in boots to Katie’s softened up midsection and face. After back and forth competition, the two stood in the center of the ring and took turns chopping one another with neither backing down; showing why these two are at the top of the division. Right as it seemed all but certain that Arquette was going to regain the championship, Mila reversed the momentum and dropped her opponent with an avalanche twisting lungblower to pick up the victory. After the match, a group of IWC security tried to calm an irate Arquette down. Before anything happened, the lights shut off and when they turned back on her tag partner Derek Dillinger was in the ring and the duo assaulted the one remaining member of the security team.
Match Nine
IWC Heavyweight Championship Match:
‘Metahuman’ Duke Davis (Champion) Defeated Zach Nystrom Via Pinfall
Once the bell sounded, Davis extended his hand, but the act of sportsmanship was not returned. The two familiar foes spent the beginning moments of the match sizing each other up. Interestingly, every time Davis showed any respect towards Nystrom it would aggravate the challenger. Nystrom began a very skilled dissection of Davis, targeting his shoulder and then his ankle. On two separate occasions the referee would be inadvertently knocked out and someone would attack the wounded champion. The first time Bill Collier and Justin Plummer got involved allowing Anthony Catena to hit Duke with a crutch. Team Plummer would be stopped by Andrew Palace and Nystrom. The second time, Jami Jameson slammed Duke, forcing Nystrom to save Davis again by giving Jameson a piledriver. After a very chaotic sequence, Duke hit Zach with a chokebomb to retain the championship.
After the match, a video from ‘The Indy God’ Matt Cardona played saying he is coming to IWC to challenge the champion. This match will take place on August 9th at IWC’s ‘Alwayz Ready’ event. For more information and to buy tickets go to https://iwcwrestling.com/
