The July 8, 2025 episode of NWA Powerrr, streamed live on X, from Dothan, Alabama. With the NWA World Heavyweight and Tag Team Championships on the line.

Opening Segment

Before stepping into battle, NWA World Heavyweight Champion Thom Latimer was seen strolling through Downtown Dothan. He acknowledged the beauty of the day and his appreciation for defending the title in the heart of peanut country. But things quickly turned personal. Latimer directed some sharp words at his challenger Carson Drake and Drake’s allies, The Slimeballz, calling them “peanuts” themselves — small, immature, and not ready for the world they’re playing in. Latimer made it clear: he planned to leave Dothan the same way he entered — still champion.

NWA World Tag Team Championship: Knox & Trevor Murdoch (c) vs. The Slimeballz – Ladder Match

The chaos started early in this high-octane ladder match, as The Slimeballz immediately tossed weapons into the ring. However, their strategy backfired when it gave the reigning champions easy access to a cache of chairs, baking sheets, kendo sticks, and more.

Knox and Murdoch, the veteran bruisers, dominated early with devastating power moves and a relentless brawl style. The Slimeballz showed flashes of teamwork and creativity — even using each other as projectiles — but couldn’t overcome the raw strength and brutality of the champs.

As the match climaxed, Knox and Murdoch introduced a table and powerbombed Tommy Rant straight through it. With Knox holding the ladder steady, Murdoch climbed up and retrieved the titles, retaining their gold in violent fashion.

Carson Drake segment

Backstage, a sharply dressed Carson Drake was all confidence. He reminded fans that he cashed in his Lucky 7 from his Television Championship reign for a shot at the World Title — and tonight, he planned to prove that he was as good as advertised.

Main Event : NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Thom Latimer (c) vs. Carson Drake

Carson Drake’s opportunity to reach the top of NWA was here. From the opening lock-up, the tension was thick. Drake tried to show he belonged, but Latimer’s power and ring control gave him the early edge.

Drake targeted Latimer’s leg, relentlessly attacking it to neutralize the champion’s power game. Multiple chop blocks, ring-post smashes, and an Indian Deathlock (with some underhanded help from the ropes) nearly spelled disaster for Latimer. The Slimeballz, still reeling from their earlier beating, came to ringside to support Drake, but their presence didn’t tip the scales.

Latimer, ever resilient, fought through the pain. After surviving a Fame-Asser and neckbreaker combo, he exploded with a stunner, a spear, and finally — Brighter Side of Suffering — to put Drake down for the three count.

Winner and STILL NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Thom Latimer

Just as Latimer began his celebration, the lights dimmed. When they returned — Rhino was in the ring.

In a stunning post-match moment, Rhino went on a rampage: goring Tommy Rant, goring Sage Chantz, and even goring Carson Drake. Without a word, he turned his focus toward the champion. The beast pointed directly at Thom Latimer, his intentions clear as Powerrr faded to black.
