The July 6th edition of United Wrestling Network’s Championship Wrestling was filled with surprises, confrontations, and escalating rivalries. With championship implications and bitter feuds boiling over, here’s a full breakdown of the action.
Evan Daniels vs Shane Haste ended in a no contest
At the top of the show, Jonny Loquasto made a major announcement: UWN Television Champion “Main Evant” Evan Daniels would defend his title later in the night against a mystery opponent. That revelation didn’t sit well with The Evantourage, who arrived to protest — only for Daniels to find out his opponent would be none other than “Hysterical” Shane Haste.
The highly anticipated match between Daniels and Haste turned intense quickly. But as momentum built, Bryce Saturn tried to interfere using the championship belt. Haste avoided the blow, and that’s when Bad Dude Tito charged the ring to neutralize Saturn. Chaos ensued as Damian Desire got involved, only to be taken down by Che Cabrera. With all six men brawling in and around the ring, the match was ruled a no-contest — and the show ended with a wild melee, setting up a potentially massive future showdown between the two trios.
Scorpio Sky defeated Ray Jaz
Scorpio Sky picked up a strong win over Ray Jaz in singles action. After the bell, Christian Cole conducted a post-match interview in the ring where Scorpio unleashed a scathing promo directed at Big Baby Slim. Calling him a “big baby bitch,” Scorpio claimed that those around Slim left him because he couldn’t lead, and declared himself the greatest wrestler to ever step foot in the United Wrestling Network. With fire in his voice, he said the world would soon be chanting his name and no one else’s.
Maximilien defeated Buddy Royal
The always-flamboyant Jordan Castle hyped up his associate, “One in a Million” Maximilien, in front of the live crowd, saying that Maximilien is not only efficient in the ring but “gorgeous” as well. Castle demanded a championship opportunity and boldly claimed none of UWN’s current champions could withstand Maximilien’s talent.
Maximilien backed up the words with action by defeating Buddy Royal with the devastating Max Factor, moving to an impressive 5-0 record. It’s clear he has gold in his sights — the only question is, which title will he target?
EJ Sparks Returns
Backstage, David Marquez interviewed a returning “Poppin’” EJ Sparks. Sparks wasted no time issuing an open challenge for the Heritage Championship. But before he could finish, Ariya Daivari interrupted, mocking Sparks and igniting a brawl. Sparks and Daivari fought off-camera, hinting at a heated rivalry that could become a show-stealer in the coming weeks.
The hard-hitting team of Delirium — Slade and McCallion — picked up a solid tag team victory over Joey Lancaster and Jake Redondo. Their momentum continues to build, positioning them as future threats in the UWN tag division.
