This week’s Memphis Wrestling brought fireworks fitting for the July 4th weekend, as the WrestleCenter was home to shocking brawls, hard-hitting matches, and the return of a wrestling legend.

The show kicked off with special guest commentator Jon Roser from Grind City Media joining the booth, offering insight and energy throughout the event.

Zay Washington lays out a challenge

Dustin Starr welcomed “The Chosen One” Zay Washington to the announce desk early in the show. Washington addressed last week’s interference by Marko “Hangtime” Harris in his match with Scorpio Sky, calling out the high-flyer for costing him a key victory. However, Harris didn’t just accept the challenge — he defeated Washington in singles action, establishing himself as a major force to watch.

Backstage, “The Gift” Ray Sanders introduced a surprise guest — none other than former WWE Women’s Champion Jazz. Jazz praised Sanders’ talent and endorsed his pursuit of the Junior Heritage title, offering her support as he climbs the ranks.

Special Forces vs Disorderlies

In tag team action, Special Forces (James & Jayson) scored a solid victory over The Disorderlies. The disciplined duo continues to impress with their teamwork and no-nonsense approach in the ring.

In a tough blow to fans, it was announced that “The GunShow” Brett Michaels will be sidelined for eight to twelve weeks due to injury. The former champion’s absence leaves a major gap in the roster, and the title scene could shift dramatically in his time away.

Coach Pillar revealed that he will be teaming up with WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi at the upcoming Tupelo Supershow, with all proceeds going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Expect big things from that powerhouse duo in support of a great cause.

Things went off the rails during what should have been a fun Lenny’s Subs Hot Dog Eating Contest, hosted by BLJ and judged by K-Toomer and Coach Pillar. Contestants Buddy Jones, Regan, and Big John Dalton were suddenly interrupted by The Hollywood Clique. Jimmy Blaylock declared the event an “embarrassment” and insulted K-Toomer and Big John Dalton, calling them “fat asses.”

That set off a wild brawl:

  • K-Toomer bloodied a Secret Service member’s nose
  • Jay Smooth hit K-Toomer with a chair — and paid for it dearly
  • K-Toomer destroyed Smooth with a vicious counterattack
  • Ray Collins got powerbombed through a table
  • Big John Dalton locked Blaylock in a full nelson
  • K-Toomer added insult to injury by stuffing a Twinkie in Blaylock’s mouth before he fled in terror

The segment was chaotic, hilarious, and intense — classic Memphis Wrestling mayhem.

Mike Anthony Confronted by Hangtime

Later in the show, Internet Champion Mike Anthony was seen working out outside the WrestleCenter when Marko “Hangtime” Harris approached. Harris challenged Anthony for the Internet Title. Calm and collected, Anthony told him, “The door is always open.”

Gio vs Suckerboy

Gio Savage continued his winning ways, defeating Suckerboy in convincing fashion as he eyes bigger competition.

During an interview segment with Sevyn Cruz and KJ Rockett, The Slaughterhouse (Jagged James and Nasty Nick) lived up to their unhinged reputation. After Nasty Nick licked Sevyn’s face, both hosts ran for the hills — and who can blame them?

CJ Blaine vs CJ Money

In the main event, Jazz was revealed to be in CJ Blaine’s corner for his grudge match against CJ Money. After Mama Money tripped Blaine outside the ring, Jazz made a shocking move — she punched out Mama Money in the middle of the ring.

Blaine then scored the win and, with Jazz handing him a leather belt, whipped CJ Money several times to end the show in disturbing fashion. The crowd was stunned, and Jazz’s presence already has the Memphis landscape turning upside down.
