WVWF Summer Clash Show Results

June 28th 2025

WVWF’s 29th anniversary show kicked off with hall of famer Wildcat coming out to thank all of the fans and wrestlers who have supported the company over the years. Before he could finish his thought, he was interrupted by Brock Hudson. Wildcat’s former tag team partner came out to ask him if he wanted to reform the South Beach Boys and enter the upcoming tag team tournament. As usual, Wildcat asked the fans their opinion and received a resounding NO!!! Even though Hudson did not receive the answer he was hoping for, he still promised they would team again.

WVWF Hybrid champion James Enoch came out to reiterate his promise to defend the championship every show against any competitor. Surprisingly, Maverick came out and challenged James to a match. Enoch did keep his word and that match was made official  for later in the evening.

Match One:

Damian Abel Defeated ‘Prodigy’ James Curry Via Pinfall

The two big men spent the first moments of the match sizing the other up, each looking for an early advantage. Abel was the first to take control with several strikes and a massive splash for a near fall. Prodigy unexpectedly struck with a shining wizard then went to the outside for a steel chair. Interestingly, as Curry held the chair over his head prepared to swing, he became very conflicted and decided to put the chair down. While Prodigy was questioning his choice, Abel gripped him up and sent him crashing to the mat with a black hole slam to pick up the win.

After the match, Ryan Steel ran in and kicked both men in the head, then smacked Tyler Strategious in the mouth before making his exit.

Match Two

Tag Team Match:

Cease and Desist (‘Hypeman’ Dan Lasers and ‘The Rare Bird’ Chris Phoenix) Defeated Damnation (JC Grunge and Chase Maddox With Amon) Via Pinfall

Lasers and Grunge started this match and the Hypeman used his height advantage by kicking JC right in the head. Grunge responded by turning this match into a fight and started throwing fists and a series of stiff forearms. For most of this match, Damnation isolated Lasers, utilized quick tags and more strikes to punish Dan. After an uncomfortable amount of time, Chris Phoenix was able to tag in and implement his signature fast paced offense to gain some measure of retribution for his team. In the end, Cease and Desist hit Maddox with a double team clothesline/ dropkick combination which gave them the victory. This win was not without controversy as Maddox made it known that his shoulder was up before the count of three but the official did not see it.

Match Three

Fatal Four Way for the USWA Universal Championship:

Taufua (Champion) Defeated Judo Jones, ‘The Beast’ Geno and Josh Jade Via Pinfall

This championship contest began with everyone taking turns chopping and hitting Jade before discarding him from the ring. Interestingly, as Judo Jones had an armbar locked in, the mysterious Morgana Raven entered the ring and tried to use her powerful control over Jones. Fortunately for the judo expert, Taufua’s longtime tag partner Dae Jamison came out to prevent whatever Raven had planned. Amongst all the chaos, multiple steel chairs were thrown in the ring and every competitor would be hit with one of them. Geno and Jade would eventually get into a fight on the outside, clearing the ring for Taufua to hit Judo with a massive Samoan spike to retain his championship.

After the match, Beast raised Taufau’s hand in a sign of respect which was returned by the retaining champion.

Match Four:

Brittany Storm (With The Collective) Defeated Tori ‘The Beast’ (With Morgana Raven)  Via Disqualification

This contest began with Tori playing mind games by evading Storm or utilizing the numbers advantage by having Raven distract or interfere whenever possible. After a few moments of one sided action, Storm fired up and threw powerful clotheslines knocking Tori down, proving a strong point to anyone who underestimated her. Things broke down as the two exchanged right hands and shared attempted submission holds. After perceived slow counts, Tori’s temper got the best of her and she hit the referee causing the disqualification.

WVWF women’s champion Jayde Mae came out to demand respect as the first ever wrestler to hold that title three times. Rikku St. Helen interrupted and the two exchanged some very harsh words. Eventually Helen challenged Mae to a championship match again, who accepted but told her it would have to wait until the next show. The tension boiled over and the two began fighting. Mysteriously, the lights went off and when they turned back on Mae was gone.

Match Five:

‘The Fabulous’ Phoebe Harper and ‘The Gentlemen of Exquisite Caliber’ Godrick Sandwell Ended in a Double Countout

As Harper was reannouncing her open challenge and telling everyone what she thinks about them, of all people Godrick Sandwell came out to calm the former champion down. Phoebe wanted none of Sandwell’s advice, slapped him across the face and demanded the official start the match. For most of the contest, Sandwell was reluctant to fight back and refused to raise his hand to her. Phoebe however had no issue and was more than willing to unleash flurries of right hands. After being embarrassed, Godrick had enough and dropped Harper with his ‘hit the books’ attitude adjustment, but Phoebe rolled out of the ring before he could end the match. He went outside after her and the two began fighting so long they would both be counted out.

Match Six

USWA Keystone State Championship Match:

‘Psycho Killa’ Dae Jamison (Champion) Defeated ‘Brutal’ Ben Metal (With Amon) Via Pinfall

The two similar competitors began the match by shaking hands and chopping the life out of one another; a sequence that summarizes their mutual respect, violent tendencies and resilience. Early in the match, Dae targeted Ben’s shoulder, but Metal would return the favor by locking Jamison in the cattle mutilation submission. When Dae attempted to hit his signature running knee, he ended up crashing into the turnbuckle, allowing Metal to lock in a crossface which almost forced ‘The Psycho Killa’ to tap out. For the majority of the match, they exchanged creatively painful submissions locked in so tightly the other had to strike, hit or chop in order for them to be broken. In the end, Dae would drop Metal on his head with a package piledriver picking up a very hard earned victory in an extremely hard hitting battle.

Match Seven

WVWF Hybrid Championship Match:

‘The Chemical Valley Gunslinger’ James Enoch (Champion) Defeated Maverick Via Pinfall

Before the match began, the WVWF fans loudly expressed their support of Maverick and disdain of Enoch. The rejection by the fans fired up Enoch who immediately went after his challenger, gaining an early advantage. Things spilled to the outside when Maverick crossbodied James, sending him crashing into the unforgiving ground. Back in the ring, Maverick landed a fameasser for a very near fall. In the end, Enoch hit Maverick with a massive Vader bomb to end the match and keep his championship.

Match Eight

Triple Threat For WVWF Mountain State Championship

‘American Made Blue Collar Beef’ Dax Preacher (Champion) Defeated Am-Po The Destroya and ‘Outlaw For Hire’ Nate Steel Via Pinfall

Steel did everything he could to put up a fight, but his fire was extinguished as both big men threw him out of the ring. The hosses battled with both men trying to overpower the other. Steel recovered, picked his spot and went after Am-Po’s knee trying to take down the ‘kaiju of the squared circle’. After a lot of hard hitting action, Am-Po gave his ‘orange crush’ finisher to Nate Steel effectively taking him out of the match. Before Am-Po could turn his attention to the champ, Beef struck with a stunner and a vicious right hand, ending the match.

WVWF’s next event, entitled ‘Let Freedom Ring’, will take place on July 19th.
