Major League Wrestling (MLW) has officially named Salina de la Renta as the new Vice President of Wrestler Relations, a move that signals a seismic shift in the league’s power structure and creative vision. The announcement was made during this past weekend’s War Chamber event, streamed free on MLW’s YouTube channel.

Salina de la Renta is no stranger to MLW fans or the wrestling business. Since launching Promociones Dorado in 2017, she’s been a trailblazer in introducing top-tier lucha libre talent to American audiences. With a razor-sharp business mind and an unrelenting drive, de la Renta has managed numerous champions and cultivated a reputation as a fierce, formidable figure behind the scenes.

Her appointment comes on the heels of another major change within MLW — the ascension of her father, César Durán, to the role of league President. In front of a sold-out crowd at War Chamber, Durán addressed the MLW faithful with a vision for the company’s future and a clear choice for who would help lead the charge.

“Azteca Lucha… what a triumph,” Durán declared, referencing the success of MLW’s recent partnership with CMLL and their international sellouts. “CMLL hosting a sold-out Arena Mexico to MLW selling out Chicago! The world saw exactly what happens when we control the chaos. But now, as President of Major League Wrestling, it’s time to take this to the next level. And to do that… I need someone I trust.”

Turning to his daughter, he made it official: “That’s why I’m naming you the new Vice President of Wrestler Relations.”

Without hesitation, Salina accepted the position with characteristic confidence: “Finally. The crown fits.”

True to form, Salina wasted no time asserting her influence. In a backstage segment following the announcement, she teased a high-level meeting with none other than Don Gato Tequila, hinting at undisclosed business dealings with the enigmatic brand. As she raised a glass with her father, it became apparent that this new alliance is not just about power — it’s about building an empire.

Salina’s promotion brings with it a renewed sense of direction and a promise of more global influence, deeper talent relationships, and a ruthless ambition to elevate MLW to unprecedented heights. With legacy and loyalty coursing through the veins of its new leadership, MLW’s future looks explosive — and unpredictably thrilling.
